D’aw, shucks. That’s quite a compliment coming from you. Arryn is a great character and I really enjoy how you RP his flaws.

Time to put great at role playing female elf wizards on the resume!

I’ve got to give props to ayergo for DM’ing from the airport with a battery-low laptop the last two games. That’s truly inspiring and pretty awesome.

And of course Rick picking up when ayergo would get kicked out of the bar - errr, I mean of course when his flight would be called!

Thanks! Yeah too bad the airport wasn't quite as nice. This week will be better!
There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind

I honestly thought I'll just play an hour. I'll ping around a bit, see who's on, maybe try to break a portal if I can find one. I'm that foolish, even all these years later. Oh, no no no. It doesn't work like that around here. This...is...ALFA!!

What I got instead was a lovely scene decrying the death of Rune, followed by a dirge performed by Mick's fantastic bard, improvised on the spot in ABAB, I might add, and then...oh my sweet Aunt Ella, and then.

What followed was one of the most tense, unbelievably exciting battles I've ever been party to. We should have all died and been left to rot, but you my friends, have some serious D&D Kung Fu.

Thank you so much to Arianna, Senor_T, SciKick, Mick, and OGR for letting me play with you. You people are amazing. I will follow you around like a puppy as long as you let me.

Yours sincerely,

Pete and his unbelievably not dead puppet

Yes , I was ready for sleep as well before that ill fated trip to “avenge” Rune.

Instead , I had Kalo lead on like the brave avenging idiot he is; go head first into a place that basically takes the point man and instantly destroyed all his items he’s ever worked for or invested in, strips him naked, and dumps him head first into a meat grinder.

Bravo Kalo , you avanging fool! Next time just fall on your own sword. Kalo has noted to others in the past that he is something of a nihilist, and I’m sure this will be even more evident in RP now that he’s lost everything he’s ever owned or worked to gain.

But anyway, sorry I couldn’t stay throughout , I had to get some sleep.

Thanks all for bringing his ground up, naked remains to be resurrected back into his miserable, monotonous, tiresome, existence.

Cheers :D

Last night was one of the most EPIC crawls -- without a DM mind you -- that I have ever participated in in ALFA. The fact that it all started as Pete describes with a totally IC quest to avenge my fallen toon Rune, made it quintessentially ALFA. The sewer fight was classic edge of your seat, heart pumping, nail biting excitement from start to end: Kalo doing the naked boogie after multiple rust monsters ate his stuff. Arryn going completely BEAST MODE, twin blades whirling with mobs surrounding him at every turn. Keryn, the waifish elf, proving that Senor T is a badder bad ass that Mister T, risking it all to go back and retrieve Kalo's fallen body from a room full of OVER TWO DOZEN goblin killers. The running fight out was insane. It was a TPK at any freaking moment. Arri, with Marisha, was sneak attacking and healing on the fly as we beat our retreat. She and Keryn literally led us all out of there alive. Keryn and Mari, looting chests for healing pots, looting dead goblins on the run because we were out of spells and out of supplies. Arryn, trudging out like a tank in slow mo carrying Kalo to be rezzed, because we all simply would not stand to see another valorous comrade fall and be left behind. last night had everything: emotion, edge of your seat excitement, laughs, -- just wow. This was some truly fun and exciting shit.

And I must say, through it all there was my BRAND NEW LEVEL 1 PC, hacking left and right with his blade. Then when that got eaten by rust monsters, killing mobs bare handed. Screaming for a weapon. Taking up Keryn's sword and Arryn's shield and wading back in to the fight because these brave warriors were an inspiration. I don't know how many times he was disarmed and had to pick that sword back up off the ground. Seriously, the fact that my level 1 survived that fight is a testament to everyone. He got KO'd like 5 times. At the end of that fight my Pally got to level 2 and fear immunity. ICly, his new found fearlessness is because of you guys. You guys absolutely rock.

Last night makes my personal HALL OF FAME.

My favorite part had to be, 'Alright, guys, I'm going to go invis, go in and grab Kalo's corpse.' She buffed and went invis, took off her bright ring of brightness, opened the door and ran smack into one of those damn goblins with the whip, who started attacking. Thankfully, the others poured through and took him out, but it definitely made that whole moment more dangerous. Not to mention there were several more goblins walking around Kalo's body the whole time.

How a lvl1 PC survived all that after the stoneskin wore off I'll never understand.

It's depressing that the goblins in WD are so tough that they can nearly TPK a party of level 8's, though.
Current PC: Alora Tuffet-Hopper, foul-mouthed and irreverent bard and Meat, dwarven cleric who likes to punch himself in the face.
