Re: Plague Board
My fellow warrior, and ally, Gaelan, is dead. I would avenge him by completing this quest. I do believe Talona is at the heart of this. To insist otherwise should be considered an obvious attempt at deception.

Re: Plague Board
Hello Guilders!
I'm trying to gather some intelligence on the planned assault. Whose planning this assault? That's a good question. But, in either case, we need some intelligence. So.. I've decided to post up in the Moonlight Soup Kitchen, get to know the staff, Tomas, Big Betty, Jezebel, and the rest of 'em. Birdsong told me the first hideout for Talona's Ratlings was in an alleyway just around the corner.. I'll have my eye on them and will be watching over this alleyway for the next few nights.
I think Bjorn can handle security down by Quarter.
Yours Truly,
Pippin Tradeberry

Gentlemen,
After three days and two nights of eating nothing but soup, I have succesfully confirmed that the alleyway adjacent ot the Moonlight Soup Kitchen is a major Plague Rat Hide-Out. I have seen several ratlings, with differing identities, leave and enter in large groups, often in shifts. It seems like we've found their garrison. I only hope we have the muscle and firepower to deny them lodging after the upcoming assault!

Sarenna writes a note underneath Gael’s in broad strokes:
All four keys go back to Dorian, now. No one opens that door until we hear from the Guildmaster ((And Electryc!)).

Re: Plague Board
Dear Apprentices and Journeymen,
Elyas and I discovered that the warehouse next door, Ingerr & Ingerr's, was storing Pemium Medicine Bags for the Garrulous Grocer in the Adventurer's Quarter. As I'm sure you've all been made aware, Nhidin the Grocer is one of the last sources of medicine bags in the City of Splendors. With Nhidin's permission, Xandos, myself and Elyas, made our way into the Ingerr and Ingerr's Warehouse . We found it forcibly raided. This indicates to me that it was not an inside job. There were many shattered crates. In the wreckage, however, I did find a clue.. A magical golden ring, with an engraved symbol of a Beholder, laden with the letter X. Suspecting these ring are worn by henchmen, operating for Mr. X (who may even be a Beholder!), I have sent Bjorn to investigate taverns in the dockward, in order to extract information as to whether any hired muscle has been spotted wearing similar rings.
Yours Truly,
XOXOXO

*written in a simple but not entirely inelegant hand*
Member of the Guild,
At least one plague rat was found inside the Guildhall yesterday during the hours of daylight. Their precise purpose here remains unknown. Journeymen of the Guild fought one and gave chase when he fled into the Dock Ward, but the individual quickly disappeared and could not be found.
More troubling still, Vana has been missing since the incident yesterday. Blood was found on the floor of main hall. A search party must be organised as soon as possible. Anyone who saw the plaguist flee or has had any sight of Vana, please inform us immediately.
No items of value are known to have been taken (though the drop chest in the hall was emptied) but it appears the invaders may have penetrated the lower level of the building. Be vigilant.
Elyas T'almerion
A further scribbled note is appended:
Any mage or one learned in the natural sciences who can identify the strange mist around the entrance to the basement, please inform us of the results of your efforts post haste.

Re: Plague Board
What do you think has emboldened the Plague Rats to attack us in our own house? To walk in and take Vana from us, the heart of the Guild if ever it had one. Does this attack remind you of the one they made on the Homeless Shelter at all? Because it should.
That’s what we are to them. A homeless shelter. A shack for the aimless and destitute.
They’re laughing at us. And why shouldn’t they?
Calling yourself an adventurer used to be said with pride. People sang songs about the brave, the bold, the saviours.
Now we’ve left the Forgotten to fend for themselves, and huddle in an unarmed Soup Kitchen for their scraps of protection and hope.
This was the Adventurer’s Guild. A shining light. A beacon of what people who dared might be, of what they *should* be.
Find Vana. Get out there, to the Docks, and inspire people again. And for the Lady’s sake, let me help you do it.
I told your Loremaster I would be better. That I would make a difference for you, and for this city. But I can’t do it alone.
I’ll prepare you. Dorian and Wyk, gods bless them, will too. It’s time to remember who you are, and Dare and Beware.
Sarenna

Sarenna leaves a half finished portrait sketch of Vana drawn in charcoal on her desk. Across the unfinished bottom of the paper is written the note: Unless we ALL stay out of the Docks they’re going to kill her. - S

Re: Plague Board
My fellow Guild Members,
We can no longer leave our Halls undefended. The Plague Rats and their allies want us to fail and fall, and we will if we do not unite our wills against theirs. Keep yer weapons close. Watch the Hall when you can. Keep the doors shut, and be aware of who passes in or out.
Even a vigilant Guild will have times where threats to our members and house go unanswered. I propose the construction and enchantment of two Guardgoyles to guard the Guild Hall when we cannot. I will oversee the purchase of materials, their enchantment, and their assignment, but I am asking all of you to make some donation to the cost of creation. Golem enchantment costs thousands of gold, but with all of your collected commitment, I know we can see it done. See me to pledge your amount.
Yours in service,
Sarenna

I stand outside the Guild door day and night, after Vana's dissaperance. When our Guild is ready to establish proper leadership, and give us a Golem. I will gladly lend Helm's cause to an assault against the Talonist filth.

Re: Plague Board
The following note is written in very neat, elegant handwriting with many little flourishes that seem more habit than intentional emphases by the author:
Dear fellow guild members,
Many of you do not know me and I apologize that I have been absent since my acceptance into New Olamn. I've been staying and studying there, under the watchful gaze of Master Thann and others, that I might become a better trained minstrel.
When I was outside the guild hall this evening, I was approached by a Plague Rat who didn't realize I was part of the guild. He tried to hire my stalwart companion and me to assault the soup kitchen and slay all those within. He claimed that they were torturing people, villainous, and all sorts of slander that I need not repeat.
We captured him, used the magical rope in the chest (thank you, whoever left it there) to tie him up, and then brought him to the soup kitchen when it was no longer night. Tomas now tends to him and I warned Miss Betty of the rumors that the rat gang likely still spread. Tis possible that they will try to hire others to do what we refused to.
Betty has asked me, as a minstrel, to sing praise about the soup kitchen around town, to help counter the rumors and encourage other Plague Rats to seek help. Tis for this reason that I humbly request the assistance of my fellow guild mates. I am not comfortable in many parts of the city and will require escort to do this properly -- in taverns, outside in the parks, and wherever we believe the message will be heard.
For those willing to assist, please leave a note here or pinned to my trunk in the dormitory, and I will find you. I can promise a song in return (and if you truly wish it, I can sing your praise before your beloved or others!).
With warm regards,
Thessalea
