Converstaions with Travis

It was just after evening prayers that Aiden strode into Safehaven Inn. Aiden smiled as he walked past Ariel. Aiden eased himself onto the bar stool with a grimace and he rubbed his left leg. "Evening Travis", he said after a bit. "How about a plate of spiced mutton and some mulled wine", he said with a smile. Travis called back to the kitchen and repeated the order and it was brought out promptly. Aiden ate in silence and when he finished he smiled to Travis. "Travis, this has to be the best mutton in Waterdeep", Aiden slide a gold crown across the bartop. Travis smiled at the coin and nodded a thanks. "Travis.. I saw the scariest thing up under Blue Alley.. A metal scorpion that was almost twice the size of a large wagon, and made of metal", Aiden said. Travis looked at Aiden and the to the wine glass and then back to Aiden. Aiden realizing what Travis was doing and smiled. "Travis. This is my first cup and I have not been in the cups before I saw it. Ask Arryn or Luther. There were there. I per near wet myself and I don't scare easily." Aiden shook his head and said, "Arryn used a huge club on it and it sounded like a smith forging a sword with every hit. Clang, clang, over and over till it stopped moving. I thought for sure we was dead." Travis leaned on the bar with a knowing smile. Aiden said, " If'en you don't believe me ask them. Luther hired two wagons to transport it out and see what makes it work." Travis smirked and turned to walk away. Aiden getting frustrated that Travis did not believe him said, "A wager then.. 50 gold crowns if I am making it up. And if I am telling the truth, you provide supper for the orphans over at Helm's Hall for three tendays." Travis chuckled with a smile. "You might not be smiling when you find out I am telling the truth." Aiden said with a chuckle. "Well good eve Travis, I am off to get a few trinkets for the orphans." Aiden eased himself off the stool with a grimace and limped towards the door.
