Up and coming PC’s in the waiting room...

Post by SCI-kick »

This is for place for those toons stuck in your heads, waiting to explode into the RP universe.

I figured there should be at least somewhere for these seeds to be planted, since secondary PCs are currently disallowed. Also, there’s several characters that I think might not be long for the mortal realm (Kalo), and there’s always a possibility of the dreaded TPK, which almost happened last week. This way if there is a rash of death, we all don’t come back with the same gnome bard concept, or even group themes can be discussed.

I’m definitely straying off the good hero path next time and more into chaos, not necessarily evil. And I kind of miss having some spells to play with after being pure fighter for a while.

I’ve got a human barbarian / cleric concept I keep wanting to create...Worships Uthgar (grey wolf totem), or possibly Garagos as a reaver. I just can’t control my inner bloodthirsty savage side!

Honestly, I just think this type of PC falls into my play style best and would be super fun to play. The RP aspects might not be refined at first, but would develope after a little time.

Not sure what we’re to post here. I have a handful of characters that I’d love to create as NPCs to populate the Warrens, including several door guards! (in accordance with Realms canon and as a result of a recent game event) They would prevent entry by anyone other than gnomes, halflings, and dwarves. A very high DC persuade roll or ridiculously high gold payment to enter otherwise.
Also including a priest of Baravar Cloakshadow in the alley who sells a few unique items and rogue gear.
A priestess of Yondalla to inhabit the “temple” which would really just be her home (how the hin worship anyhow). She could have a handful of delivery static quests.
A druid of Segojan Earthcaller or Sheela Peryroyl to tend the garden park, buys/sells herbs.
Priest of Garl Glittergold to run the temple (assuming the stained-glass door is to a temple)

Much as I’m loving Arryn’s developing storyline, I miss playing my sneaky rogues. I’m fairly sure that’s where I’d go if I were to drop him.
Character arcs are sharp, pointy little things. A little blood may spill!

Now Playing: Luva Si'nede, Olivus Angustian
Past Characters: Valyar Floshin, Sarenna Irithyl, Millicent Riverstone, Dev Revels, Catarina Helms, Fenris Estelmer, Arryn Temple, Penrose Hawke, Kara Ravensfell, Arana Belecthor

I'd like to have a gnome cleric of Gond that's as tanky as I could get him.
Currently laying the smackdown on Faerun as: Keryn Tel'Jora, who is XXX-TREME!!!.
Currently explaining the meaninglessness of it all as Vizian Nazyr.
Currently pointing out all other characters' shortcomings as Stephen the Archer.

I would probably play a wizard.
Either a dwarven thunder twin, looking for his missing twin.
Or if timeline allows it, the son of JenWa ;)
NWN1 PC:
Now (2017): Bran, naive servant of Lathander, currently thinking about opening a potion shop.
circa 2000: JenWa, proud mother duck and half-crazed sorceress of Shadowdale.

NW2 PC: Kasil Trueforger, dwarven scholar of Felbarr.

Garlus Ironbeard: [d] I was sure there was a reason we brought you along.
Kevorn Trueforger: [d] I'm da funny one and ye're da smart one.

If I get dead I'll play that Thunder-twin's other half :)

Can do it as a pair of Wizards or a DeVito Schwarzenegger tank / wiz like in Twins :)
PCs: NWN1: Trailyn "Wayfarer" Krast, Nashkel hayseed

NWN2: ??

Next PC will likely be either an elf or hin pure rogue, maybe 1 or 2 levels of Ftr or Rgr. I am enjoying playing my rogue Rook. Rogue seems to be a nice and useful class on WD.

I also am thinking of a Barb/Sorc/Dragon Disciple. Have always wanted to play this combo.

"Seek Death and you will find it, for it comes easily . . . . Instead .. Embrace life for it is more challenging and harder to hold"

Keep in mind that the DM has woven a wonderful campaign and story for us and it becomes increasingly hard when those PCs that have been interwoven into it suddenly die or worse the player is bored and makes a new one. I can see that even those that used to be steadfast players in ages past . . . seem to be afflicted with the same disease of the young gamer generation . . . . only there is no achievements to gather playing out all the possible scenarios . . . Being part of the story no longer seems as interesting to alot of people it appears to me. Obstacles are for overcoming !

Now having said that and in the spirit of the thread in general . . . I tend to only play either Rogues or Bards and if by some devastation I lost Marisha in a irretrievable manner I would either make a new Rogue or probably just go back to my building on NWN2. Because I don't enjoy the constant turnover . . .

That's why I've always liked the idea of secondary, non-main story line PC's to tinker with on the side during slow times without burdening the DMs. It really helps some of us RP gamers who are afflicted with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

But, I digress.

I intend to play Murgen until he rids Waterdeep of these pesky portals and establishes a Dwarven Stronghold that rules the undermountain. Then the kingdom will expand to the land and skies above it. He will then expand Murgania to encompass all of Faerun. Once his benevolent rulership has been established, it will expand to bring peace, prosperity and happiness to the rest of Toril and from there he will accept his place in the Dwarven pantheon.

After that, I will roll up another stealth PC.
Retired NWN1: Murgen Kjarnisteinn (AKA Grumpy Scout)

NWN2 (Failed Experiment): Muir Cheartach, AKA The Pale Faced Pie Man

R.I.P.: Croaker Lyosbarr, Knight of Yartar, Lord of Lhuvenhead (NWN1)

I don't enjoy turnover either. Like you, I have an archetype I prefer above anything else. I just like the idea of exploring other characters. I honestly think I'd have a hard time permanently committing to another type of PC though.

I intend to create a pc and bring this dorf empire to ruin.
