The Waterdeep Watch has reported that the feral elf known as Ai has been captured and imprisoned in an undisclosed location. Sergeant Arith from the North Ward Watchpost reported questioning a wild looking dark haired female elf child pick pocketing a nobleman in the market. He described the wild elven female as putting up a substantial fight, biting and clawing screaming "Ai, Ai, Ai" or something similar. The sergeant said it was difficult to understand the young elf through her screaming and biting, but he was certain she identified herself as Ai. On her person was a short bow and a few arrows, some with blood stained tips. A nearby merchant swore that she sold him a rusty bastard sword and the sergeant agrees that she was trying to rid herself of the weapon to avoid detection. Sergeant Arith re-iterated that the Watch always gets their perpetrator and for the public not to be worried about any other violence or strange rumors about the sewers. He reported that due to the back log in cases and shortage of Magistrates it could be a month or so before the case is examined. "In the meantime", he said, "this should give her plenty of time to calm down and think about her crime." When asked about potential punishment, he stated, "We have devices and certain tools in place for perpetrators like this, with almost 100 percent turn around after the administration by our skilled technicians. If the Magistrate so chooses, she will probably be enrolled in such a program if found guilty, of which she almost certainly is."

In other news, two Thayan Guards were found slain in the Adventurer's Quarter in an alley near the Safehaven Inn. Watch Sergeant Dehenny reports, "We believe this was the work of local thugs. I mean, these Thayans wear pretty flashy outfits, and are known to piss everyone off with their bad attitude. Stab marks definitely show the work of amateur thugs." Asked to comment, a Thayan Consulate stated (some inappropriate words have been redacted out) , "Are you ####### kidding me? This was the work of professionals, one stab to the heart and a slash to the jugular. Are the Watch all ####### morons? This was ####### Harpers! That dark stuff that wasn't us! The gems were stolen, go take out the thief!" And then he stormed off.
