*rumor is the stables of Corwelltown are full of this year's shipment of horses from the mainland. Taller and more delicate than sturdy island ponies, these fine beasts are sought after by the most discriminating of customers.*

((If you would like a horse, talk to me in chat, and as a DM I will sell you one for your riding pleasure, even from the Quarantine))

An incredibly rich Baron is rumoured to have arrived at Corwell.. He goes by the name of Baron Edmenton.

Curiously nobody knows quite how he came about his riches... he has bought a number of houses around Corwell at significant cost.

It looks like edmonton has taken an interest in buying the Trappers inn for his own uses for a whole month... although this has been refused by Anne.

On another rumour, a drunk man swears he saw a fairy... but this is probably best taken with a pinch of salt.

A tribe of kobolds is currently under a 'truce arangement' in the Llyrath forest. They call themselves the 'Barata clan' but it is advised humans avoid them.

They can mostly be heard chanting and doing ritualistic blood spiling of a number of animals and themselves.

A badly-damaged lateen-rigged caravel limps into the Corwell harbor, propelled by a few remaining tatters of its sails and the apparent mercy of the gods. It manages to dock, though has something of a hard time of it, and a single unkempt man climbs out, taking the awkward steps of one who hasn't been on land for some time. He stops, briefly, at Trapper's Inn and makes a largely-ineffective effort to clean himself up, stopping to neither talk nor drink before making his way to the castle.

On the docks, an older worker swears that the ship is the Queen Robyn. The ship was put into service when he was a young man, he explains, but he'd not seen her in years. Gods know what happened to her crew, but that's likely the survivor's business at the castle, he reasons.

As evening comes, the man returns to Trapper's Inn, commenting that it's where to find men and women of adventure when asked, but not seeming terribly interested in discussing how he came to be the only crewperson on his ship. He instead orders whiskey, and drinks more of it than seems survivable, and chats with travelers-- seeming to be sizing them up.

A halfling thief was caught in Kingsbay, and escorted to Cantrev Koart. Witnesses say Fumir, was definetely with them as he has a very distinctive look. However after spending a night there, the thief was allowed to leave.

"I bring word that there is a missing lad in the Dulan Village, North of Cantrev Koart. There are strange sounds in the forest, but all I saw was one goblin (killed)."

The halfling looks around. "Anyone think they can scout the woods for any clues?"

Cowards!

*posted in the inn of corwell*

"Not a single one of you would help? Not a single one? You're all nothing but cowards. Time has passed and in all likelihood the missing boy is dead. I searched for an hour with no results. Clearly I couldn't do it on my own and sought help. Yet none of you would even consider it, not even for coin?"

Raven huffs at the situation and leaves the inn. She mutters to herself. "I won't feel any guilt. I did the best I could."

An older gentleman has caused a stir in the small village of Dultann by arriving with several armed men and claiming to have an interest in the ruined castle Darkhorn nearby.

Futhermore, he has spread word all around the region that he is looking to employ the services of mercenaries and adventurers for excellent pay. While he hasn't elaborated on the task, he has stressed that he requires professional and experienced people, and that those interested should be well equipped and supplied for an extended trip into unknown circumstances.

On the eve of that day a lanky youth in plain clothes would dismount from his horse at the Dultann inn, seeking the same man.

There was another commotion in Dultann Village, as the party of adventurers returned from Castle Darkhorn late one night. Local rumour has it that they spent three months inside the castle, leading to rampant speculation that the surviving men returned cursed and twisted by the foul magics within the ruins.

Based on what the locals know, only four of the six original members of the adventuring party returned to town after the expedition, and they promptly set about dividing up various strange and powerful looking artifacts between themselves. Most notably, a great ornate suit of plate mail armour and a sinister sword that glowed with an infernal black light.

After spending the night, the men all departed and went their various ways.
