PA Election Aug 2020 - round 1 - both candidates withdrew

Post by Veilan »

Hello!

This thread shall serve for self-nominations for the position of player admin, period Aug 2020 - Feb 2021. The PA supposedly does "Applications, Guilds, ALFA Player’s Manual, ALFA Representatives, Player Discipline, and Player Acceptance".

All ALFAns in good standing are eligible to stand. Every member gets to cast a vote. This thread will run for 7 days, after which voting will run for 4 days.

Please only post here if you self-nominate. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Cheers,

To prevent an election with only one candidate, I self-nominate.

Now you can have an actual win, AK.

I have been contacted by Tamlin that he has missed this self-nomination period due to RL.

While per the charter this would be "bad luck", I have suggested he speak to shad0wfax and AnalogKid whether they would agree to withdraw to trigger a new self-nomination period. I have spoken to both as well and they indicated they are willing to do this.

Once shad0wfax and AnalogKid confirm here that they are doing this, we will have a new self-nomination period, as per the charter, where all candidates will be eligible once more. Should the election by then be decided, I will consider the winning candidate to have stepped down immediately for the same result - a new self-nomination period with all candidates eligible.

Thanks to everyone for the mature and cooperative way of handling this.

I withdraw from the race, in fact. I won't seek another term.

Thanks to everyone, I'm excited to step into the role, and hope I'll do a job. Is there a new round of self-nominations we need to do now? If so I nominate myself.

Thank you for your interested, Tamlin. I guess please confirm your self-nomination in the new thread:

With both candidates having withdrawn, this election has no result and a new round of self-nominations has started here.

AK will remain PA in the interim.
