DM interested check

Hi everyone, been a while.
Been hankering for some dnd based activity for a while and decided to do an interest check.
I would like to dm a regular smallish group, good aligned, twice a week Euro evenings. My schedule allows regular slots Tuesday and Wednesday probably 8-12 pm uk time.
Fun, saving the world, solving mysteries and kicking ass on a bi-weekly basis.
Not interested in building stuff, policing stuff, dealing with drama etc
So my questions:
1) Would any players be interested
2) Does any server want me to live there (I don't care which)
Don't care if it's nwn1 or 2 as I'll have to buy it new either way I think

Dang! NWN1 WD and Daggerford are connected, but WD is rocking these days! I am building more stuff on DF close to WD for cross overs.

Definitely interested, CNS, but unfortunately your time slot will almost never work for me. Hope you find some folks, though!
Also, welcome back!

I sure do miss nwn1! Nwn2 was always a pain to dm on

As a player (on wd) i am keen.
Got a druid. He can do "good" stuff, with the right motivation.

Maybe. My days off rotate every week. Depends on whether its NWN1/2 and which server. Well ... that's not accurate. Depending on whether its NWN1/2 and which server just determines which character I play.

Curious as to what made NWN2 difficult to DM on?
Were you using the DM side of the client extension or just the interface that came with NWN2 ?

Wow its been a while, I have no idea if I used the client extension or not, depends on when that was released. I remember the range of things I felt I could do was limited in nwn2 and often a bit of a pain to do if you ever wanted to go beyond "possess npc" "add standard monsters". The areas were pretty but often more limited. It may also be driven by the amount of time I dmed in nwn1 vs 2 (1 wins by a significant margin).
NWN1 also had limitations but the overall simplicity of it (less resource intensive and tile based lego style construction) made it easier to work around. I know these are a poor set of reasons based of feeling and half recollections that are probably less than true/accurate.
But one thing I used to love doing on NWN1 was at key points in a plot spending an hour or two in the toolset and knocking up a quick and dirty dungeon/wizards tower/elemental plane/extension to the sewers hosting it locally and having the players connect with the local version of their PCs (then spending 10 minutes fixing up the ALFA version to match damage\expendable usage\death\loot\exp etc). Having that kind of flexibility I found impossible on NWN2.

Back to the matter at hand it looks like we have 1, 1/8th and a mystery fraction of players who play WD as well as its boss. I'll leave it another 24 hours or so in case we have a flurry of sudden demand for somewhere else but unless it changes I'll grab nwn1 from gog and go from there.
Ayergo I'll shoot you a PM.
Rumple, don't over worry about about playing a druid. I'm more thinking of a general alignment in objectives and motivations, that being on the side of stopping the evil guy who wants to release the demon that eats the world rather than half the PC's wanting to stop it and the other half deciding "gee, he's got a point there, maybe we should release the hunger demon"
I guess it's a symptom of getting older. I used to think DMing was about trying to be all things to all people and tried to stretch too much to incorporate everyone into everything. Or at least most people into most things. These days I'd rather set out my stall honestly and early and say, here's what I enjoy and here's what I'm good at, if it's a match lets have some fun!
Also I like playing the bad guys, even if they do always have that one critical weakness that those damn PC's always find and exploit.

So when you say 8 - 12pm... do you mean 8 as in 0800 or as in 2000?
Either way, I'm in a no-life, no-leave-home scenario, so... if you're on NWN1 more, so much the better.

A bit on the early side for me .... but I would probably be able to make the back end of some of those sessions.
(Currently playing L-N but mostly good aligned dorf on WD NWN1)
Jump in!

Alright. GMT+1, right?
So roughly... 1500 - 1900. Again, no-life means I can make it, whether NWN1 or NWN2. Woo.
