Checking In, for Old Times' Sake

Post by KalevD »

Hello Everyone,

Some of you may remember me; for those of you who don't, feel free to disregard this post, lol. I just happened to be going through some old files and got a sudden wave of ALFA nostalgia. I thought I'd swing by the forums to see if they were still active and - in a moment of narcissism - searched my handle to see if I anyone had been talking about the old days. When I did, I found this old post by OGR written back in 2014:

Even though the thread that was posted in is ancient history now, I just wanted to say: Aww, I've missed you guys too! :D

While I no longer have NWN2 installed, not to mention that I don't have the free time for gaming like I did way-back-when; I just wanted you all to know that I still think of you from time to time and have nothing but fond, cherished memories of the great RP and adventures I shared in my time here.

I hope you're all doing well, wherever you may be now.

Best Wishes,

Mihkel (KalevD)

Aww. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello - glad to hear things seem to be going good for you (I assume good things are the reason for lack of time, not a daily survival fight in some zombie-infested jungle).

Cheers,

Interesting to see old timers poke in their heads the past day or two, must be the changing season.

There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind

Oh, very much for the "good" reasons, lol. Work, life, family, etc. I still game from time to time, but nowadays it's more to try and tackle my massive To Play list rather than dedicate regular/semi-regular play time to a persistent world or MMORPG.

HEEGZ, Ithildur, Swift, Galadorn, dergon, Rumple; Cheers mates! Thanks for the hellos, comments, and well wishes!

Ayergo! I still have that old copy of ALFA Waterdeep from the NWN1 days! That's what I was sifting through when I got the wave of nostalgia that had me start this thread, lol. I think miss the adventures we had in those days most of all. :)

By the way, there is a new group formed on TSM US evenings for some PW style pick up and play. Theme is horror/undead.

Hey! I got the old ALFA vibe myself a few days ago. I'll be poking around the upcoming days to checkout the current situation.

Welcome back . . .

Hope you hang around . . . MS and BG has a bit of new static content . . . TSM has a low level group on it based out of Rivermoot , MS has a any level group currently working in Alaron , while primarily for high levels its had lvl 1s join and survive so far . . . . High danger high reward for low levels.
