PA Questions for Heero

Post by Zelknolf »

We seem to have three PA candidates and only two PA threads. So I make one for Heero.

1. Do you have a platform?
(potential followup: "What is it?")

2. What makes you a better choice than the other two people?

1. No, not really.

2. I am firm, but fair.

Basically, the same platform as all my other past failures at being chosen Overlord of players.

What is your policy on PC names that may or may not be taken from popular media?

After your capitulation in the last wrestling election to Heegz, what makes you think you deserve to be champion in this fatal three way?

Have you learnt to fight dirty yet?

1) What is your view on server hopping (assuming it is inside the rules) but as an effort to get more DM / RP time?

2) What is your view on the negative HP floor in the face of suicidal actions by PCs?

3) What is your view on this statement "Permadeath does not exist in ALFA for a high level PC not soloing"?

4) What is your view on DM's house or server rules regarding resurrections?

5) What is your view on DM's house or server rules regarding attacking negative unconscious PCs (to kill them)?

I apologize in advance if some of the questions may not have the correct technical terms.

Its up to the DMs to shun these blatant metagamers. If DMs dont want these sorts taking up their time, simply tell them they arent invited and to please move along.
StephenUmpf wrote:2) What is your view on the negative HP floor in the face of suicidal actions by PCs?
As a DM, simply kill them if you feel their actions warrant dying. Im fine with that.
StephenUmpf wrote:3) What is your view on this statement "Permadeath does not exist in ALFA for a high level PC not soloing"?
It is what it is.
StephenUmpf wrote:4) What is your view on DM's house or server rules regarding resurrections?
DMs have the final say. They are running the game and should a player agree to play in a DMs game they are also agreeing to abide the DMs ruling. If they do not wish to agree to any house rules then they are free to excuse themselves from the game.

Does this really need a question? I mean, is this something that has come up with players airing complaints about being attacked while unconscious?

Blunt question, not trying to be a jerk, just being blunt: do you feel you're sufficiently in touch with ALFA's current game enough to take on the role of PA adequately, given that you haven't really seriously played a PC in a very, very a long time? Do you feel that the fact that you've not experienced gameplay above lvl 2/3 in ALFA for any stretch in a very long time have any bearing on your view of what the current ALFA experience is like as a player?

It’s not the critic who counts...The credit belongs to the man who actually is in the arena, who strives violently, who errs and comes up short again and again...who if he wins, knows the triumph of high achievement, but who if he fails, fails while daring greatly.-T. Roosevelt

I neither know nor have I played with some of the newer DMs. I am unfamiliar with all the new server changes and additions that may have happened in the past long while.

Ive experienced many frustrations as a player. Im still bitter about some of them. I will refocus this bitterness towards championing the betterment of the player experience, and as your overlord will lead each and every one of you into the promised land of ALFA glory.

While the thought of Heero's hips gyrating and his body moving in smooth synchronous step to the soundtrack certainly makes me salivate, this was simply a problem caused by someone giving Heero a custom title without documenting it / running it by the Infrastructure Administration.

As seen, this is a bad idea. My apologies for any inconvenience it caused; I have reverted Heero's title to the standard progression until he lets me know a more suitable one... which he definitely earned through this ordeal.

Dance on,
The power of concealment lies in revelation.
