AnalogKid's PA platform and Questions Thread

First off, you all know me. For those of you who think you know me based on hearsay, rumor or things pertaining to a PC I play, forget that. I've been around here since the start of ALFA 1. My background in RL is in construction, finance, real estate and banking, not that it matters here. I started playing D&D when I was 11, both in its table top form and with the gold box games.
First i'll focus a little bit about about each part of the PA's job then cover a little bit about my philosophy as a whole.
Applications: The questions on the application are appropriate and I don't think they need to be changed. Our current system seems to be working, as it should be after all these years.
Guilds: Things seem to be running fine with the in game player guilds and their use of the forums. We should encourage the creation of more in game guilds when possible and I would use the position of PA to work with interested players who wish to create new guilds.
ALFA's Player Manual: It's kept up to date and is easily accessible, and it will remain so.
ALFA Representatives: I believe the names of all current ALFA Reps should be easy accessible. I also believe that each ALFA Rep should be currently active within the game/ALFA to maintain their position. Any Rep who is no longer active, will be removed and replaced. I also would promote the idea of ALFA Reps being able to log onto servers they play on as DM's under extreme circumstances related to player harassment, cheating, or griefing, if no other DM is available.
Player Discipline: ALFA often seems to go from extreme leniency to extreme intolerance. Perhaps its only a perception, but its there. In ALFA, all the rules SHOULD apply to all the players here. Still we're all human and sometimes mistakes are made and we have to look at each case with an open mind. Actions must be reviewed within context when examined and everyone will be heard in regards to complaints. I will be there to listen to all complaints or issues that may arise, and will deal with them promptly and appropriately.
Player Acceptance: I want to see all of ALFA move towards being OPEN servers eventually, with players being allowed to reach level 3 at the latest before submitting an application. That should give us enough time to examine the RP of any prospective player, and also be able to deal with the A-holes who might show up.
Final thoughts: Beyond these key points, I believe we have to maintain an openness that has at times been lacking. The opening up of MS and BG are and were good and hopeful steps. Reaching out to past players is another. I will focus on being the best there is in the practical aspects of being PA but will always be open ideas from the community of players.
