So I was thinking. Let's say that there is something your character needs to collect on another server than the one you're currently playing on (I wont go into details because I know how afraid of OMGMETA you all are ). And let's say that on this other server, you already have an active PC. Would it be ok to make a quick kessel run and get that little something? I mean, if you just don't interact with players or DMs. You *are* allowed to cross a server you DM on and play on, in order to get to another server, iirc. Is this too allowed then?

If the exchange is purely OOC, I'd say you're fine.

That too, but I am more referring to heading over to (example) "Silverymoons Smashing Sundries" and getting something from a vendor.

I would like to know this as well. Because with some quests going cross server, it really could make some quests items quite impossible to ever get.

Yeah... I don't know guys. I just don't do those quests.

There are plenty of others and im sure we could all live without those 50xp/gp.

Also, the fact we know those quests and where and in which server to find the items is omgmeta.
So it's not like we're entitled to that.

Don't get me wrong, if I was the all power ALFA god I wouldn't care if either of you did that.
But on the other hand I really don't care if it's not allowed.

The current answer (as i understand it) is no, it is not allowed.

Passing through a server on the way to somewhere else is fine. Stopping to interact with other players or do statics (or collect items for statics) is a no-no - Same sort of deal as if you dm'd on that server, it's one of the trade offs you make.

(That was the way it was set-up with the 2 player thing going ahead.)

And it does seem like a small price to pay in order to reach a common ground with the 1pc/player purists.
You can have a 2nd pc, but can't do ALL the statics. Just 97% of them. Eh. *shrugs* Not that big of a deal.

You can still do them all, just not instant-gratification-style.

Process was what, ask HDM usually only for the reason of a trip for a DM'd event? Anyone shy of the HDM whether in forums or IRC, it's not what the rule called for. Telling an HDM you wanted to shop for a beaver fur hat or ring of clw 5/day, that may not be seen as the right reason.

Someone may link the policy up I guess and scan for this rare exception thing. Pretty sure though it was HDM not anyone else who'd get involved on waivers or temp relief etc.

So, if I were to want to buy a "Hat of the beaver" which only happened to exist on a certain server, then I'd have two options:

1a) Move PC2 from Server2 to Server3
1b) Wait 30 days
1c) Move PC1 from Server1 to Server2
1d) Move PC1 from server2 to Server1
1e) Wait 30 days
1f) Move PC2 from Server3 to Server2
1g) ???
1h) Profit!

OR

2) Have someone else buy it for me and come visit Server1 or someone who doesn't have a PC on Server2 go there and buy it for me.
