I learned something new today..

I can't imagine why I didn't realize this a lot sooner than now, but apparently ALFA means a lot to quite a few people.
I mean, of course I know this, but I never realized to what extent up until now. I've always been of the assumption that it was "just another community" when in fact to some people it is so much more. I believe this is the main reason why I've gotten in a few disputes lately with a few members of the community.
I am in no position to assume how much or little this community means to other people and from now in I'll try to remember that not everyone here is as laid back about things as I am. There are actually things I see as trivial that others see as an attack against their fundamental and completely justified beliefs.
This is supposed to be something fun that I do when I get home to wind down after a long day of work. Something you do with friends and laugh about. I think that is why I'm not so serious when I'm online on the chat because at the end of the day, this is simply something I do for fun. That doesn't mean anyone else isn't in this for the same reason, but I believe that it is just a matter of what we each do to have fun and how we react when someone isn't playing the same game we are. We assume that "fun" means the same thing to everyone but it doesn't.
With that, I would like to thank Swift for pointing out that me having fun (the same way I do with friends) isn't always what others see as fun. Well, he didn't point it out, but a dispute on the chat finally led to this post, so some wisdom came out of it.
Well.. This is my stop and I'm late to my meeting (thanks for that tranq, Zelknolf) and ill see you all ingame and in the chat.
