It's February, so it's time to elect a PA for the next six month term. Self-nominations are now open and will remain open for a period of one week. Please do not post in this thread unless you are self-nominating.

I will NOT be seeking a second term as PA. Thank you to everyone on PA Staff who made my job as PA run smoothly. Thanks also to the rest of Admin for being such a pleasure to work with. I thought I would post my decision here to encourage others to have a go at PA.

After almost zero deliberation and careful consideration and mostly on a whim, I am announcing my candidacy for Player Administrator.

Main Issue thingys I will attempt to get done if surprisingly elected to this illustrious position.

1. One Character Rule - Change it to one surface and one underdark character in anticipation of Skullport going live. Lets's be honest folks, we do not have a slew of players and even if we did by the time Skullport went live the majority of surface pcs are unlikely to make a journey to such a den of iniquity. This allows people to play more on ALFA and lets them experience both sides of the alignment coin. This comes from being the HDM of the NU server and only seeing about 5-10 alfa players ever really play on it in it's two years of being live. Though that might just be because I was a horrible dm.

2. I will do my best coordinate a truly global plot among the ALFA servers. Will try to push for the ALFA version of Lathandar - Amaunator transition to occur. Something flashy.

3. ALFA rated M for Mature.

4. Gain access to the super sekrit forums and spam my way to 10000 posts and become Fionn's true successor.

5. Discuss raising the 2xp per in game hour to a more meaningful rate.

6. Ban Rotku. I hate kiwis.

I self nominate to run for PA.

I've been a member since NWN1 days, most of you know about the period I spent as a non-member, due to breaking the rules. But I still feel it's important that it's stated that such a thing happened. Honesty is the Best Policy afterall.

I returned in early 2009 and have played regularly since. I've been a member of Standards for quite some time now and also a DM as of a few weeks back.

I believe I've been relatively out-spoken on issues, and have made an effort to suggest things that it seems a lot of folk have wanted. Hopefully in the position of PA, I'd have a bit of power to try and get these things taken seriously.

Rather than posting a big list of things I'd like to see sorted, improved straight away, I'll post a thread in general Discussion to allow for questions.

One of the conditions at the time of the removal of Blindhamster's ban was that he retain two permanent strikes. This means he is not considered a member in good standing and is therefore not eligible to serve as an admin. He thus cannot stand in the election.

Well to be honest, didn't expect to win, but now that I have I will start to try to enact the policies I put forth in my platform. Also please expect a few polls on a few other ideas rolling around my head to gauge how much support there is for them.
