Now the question i have is, WHEN is STEAM gonna get off their ass & 'configure a server to download'? is there a trick to DL non-HL based games on STEAM? Purchased it on the cheap a couple days ago (no idea where the original Keys are for the version i loaded on the old 2006 laptop but im hessitant to copy that from the current LAPTOP to this rig. The original game itself is not available so getting it on STEAM on the cheap speaks volumes about the state of the game itself...

still, i want to have it. any insight?

You can download any game you buy on Steam through the Steam client.

i know that. the problem is that they WON'T DL it. it keeps saying that no servers are configured to DL it and that to check back in a few minutes... several tries equal the same result (no DLing of the game from Steam)

changing the DL location under Steam--> Settings ---Downloads worked (or at least its started LOL) go figure Pittsburg failed yet Chicago started

loaded but now the game proprompts that its refusing my name when i log into the server (BG). it also says something about a firewall before that... *grumble*
