Congratulations to dob85y for his election as Lead Admin

Post by Faeryl »

Since the current Lead Administrator is stepping down, self-nominations are opening early. The self-nomination period will last for one week from the time of this post.

All members in good standing are eligible to run.

The successful candidate will serve until December 2009.

Please do not post in this thread unless you are self-nominating.

Re: Self-Nominations for Lead Administrator are now open

Post by dob85y »

I will step up for the Role of Lead.

Since taking on the role as head PR under Faeryl, i have come to really see how well the Admin run. Her reign has seen what has been described as one of the most drama free times ALFA has seen. Of this I personally cant comment as Faeryl was Lead when I joined, and it has been a great place to be involved with so far.

I will use my experiences that I have gained playing and DMing on other NWN 1 & 2 PW's to try to make ALFA the PW of choice. I see no reason why we shouldnt be the best.

We have a number of unique strengths that can give us the edge over the others.
1. We are not owned by any one individual, so as long as the community lives so will the PW's
2. We have some of the greatest minds working on aspects of the game that I couldnt even imagine playing without anymore
3. All of the members care about the community, while all dont agree all of the time, differences can be settled and directions can be found, while all involved have the community interest at heart.

My focus will be on guiding ALFA with small nudges and suggestions, toward the ultimate aim of "The Neverwinter Nights (2) Persistant World of Choice"

I plan to do this by speaking to the group of people who are thet sole reason all are involved, the players, to find out what little things can take us from being a good PW to the Neverwinter Nights Presistant World of Choice.

Thanks for stepping up, Dob85y. You seem a steady hand and you've done good PR work thus far. LA is 85% PR, 10% policy and 5% referee. You'll do great.
Enjoy the game

That's the least painful LA contest in history. Congrats and good luck.

Congrats Dobs. Will try not to make your life too nightmarish over the next few months

And a big thanks to Faeryl, for the past 6 months. Has been a true pleasure to work with you.

Well done dob85y.

Just wait a month or so and you won't see Ward at all. Dobs as LA will manage to piss off some DM, who will decide to take it out on his PC, and Wards body will soon be feeding the fish.
