Unofficial ALFA Video

Greetings,
since finding ALFA I found a home I never knew I missed, and it was by pure dumb luck that I found ALFA. I figured some sort of video might help us find more people like me who would love to play something like this but never heard of it.
so I created a fairly basic "promotional" video for ALFA. If the head people don't like it I will take it down.

well the song is 6 minutes... and I had like 20 minutes of footage lol, so i went with the length of the song. It goes by quick i think though.

Well I stopped after about 20 seconds. But then I'm impatient, have a short attention span and tend to get bored very very quickly - so I'm not the best person to judge it on.

This is awesome.
Rotku you have to watch the 6 minutes
I vote for this to go on our first web page.
Long ago, when I was Infra Admin my team wanted something like this to go as a first page video (that you could be skipped if you already saw it) as they have in most websites today.
Edit: you should remove the references to NWN1 as we are dropping it apparently.

This is freaking awesome.
Minor criticism, saw 'lead by DMs'... should probably be 'led by DMs'
MAD PROPS!

Nicely done,- I like it.
Though if you're doing it again to remove the nwn1-reference, i suggest trying to do something to make the in-game dialogue text readable somehow. Either by actually editing the video to make that text larger or adding subtitles or something along those lines perhaps. Since we rely on roleplaying through text we probably want people to see that i mean. Another minor thing is I think you could probably display each screen a little shorter,- especially the ones with text,- i think that might add more "action" to it,- like a movie-trailer. I'm not talking by much, but maybe a little bit.
All in all though very cool idea and nicely executed.

yeah this was one of those things I tried to get in, i run fraps on the highest settings so when you watch the videos individually, you see the text no problem, but when you put em together in a video for the net, its no good.
I will see what I can do in editing it.
EDIT - I fixed the nwn1 and led in the video, got to go to work though, I'll get the fixed video up later tonight.

Another thing that i just thought of when looking through it again.
If you can do it, try and run the fighting scenes at another point in the song. Right now they start just as the music is fading away,- makes it a little anticlimatic.

That's cool!
((also it prompted me to use your stealth guy's hotbar and box set up on mine-----far superior layout

))

good idea, I changed the music and edited around so it basically sounds like it never slows down, will keep chugging right through the battle scenes.
thanks everyone for your suggestions, It's great when someone else looks at your projects because they see things your not seeing.
so far the only suggestion I have yet been able to fix is making the text visible.

Very nice work sir. I do think a second one might be appropriate after youve gotten around a bit and seen some of our more impressive landscapes.
