but as Sembia closed down I realise I wont play my character again.
It was the first character I have ever made on ALFA and she's been around for 3-4 years now.
Strange how you can get attached to a character. At the end I realize I put something of myself in it.
It's like saying goodbye to a piece of me.
So farewell alinia/maha (whoever you are) I wish you good luck in your search.

All our PCs should be like a piece of art painted or sculpted by us. Thats a lot more important than a game.
Sounds like your PC was art, thanks for putting that effort into an ALFA campaign. You should come repeat that effort of creation in NWN2 with us.

Without a doubt I can share your sentiment. I had a very difficult difficult time letting go of my NWN1 PC (although his loss wasn't as abrupt as yours).
But, as spoken above, you can always recapture it again with a new and equally enthralling character. Come on in!

Retired NWN1 PCs can also become NWN2 NPCs. If you had the motivation to do it you could work with one of the live servers and bring your old PC to life via dialogs and quests. This would be a good way to hold onto history. (for example: Malcer as npc head of a merchant guild spouting business advice to the new merchant wannabees and constantly falling into telling stories of his adventures.)

Its an important step to finally put that first successful PC behind you. Not everyone has been able to take it.
