A Land Far Away

Ive looked and looked, but i cant find anywhere what will/wont/may/maynot be included from SOZ.

Im specifically interested in the PrC Doomguide, and if it will be included. I have a Cleric of Kelemvor i have just started and id like to know ahead of time if the PrC will be available (or not).

I heard rumors that the SOZ content will be put in game within the next couple of weeks. No just because it is available from the tech side of things though does not mean character classes, races, feats, and PrCs will be avaialable for players right away.

As far as I could tell, there are really only four issues:

• Yuan-Ti
• Grey Orc
• Dinosaur Companion
• Hellfire Warlock

Everything else seems above board.

The DMA is busy right now getting things sorted with Baldur's Gate. But after that goes Live, I am sure these issues will be put before the Standards Team to look at.

Anyhow, I guess it'll be for the DMA alone or in consultation w/ other Admin, and in cases Standards, to figure out pretty much anything new in SOZ. Stuff like "is a slightly scaly face IC identification for the usually concealable status of Yuan-Ti Pureblood", or "are gray orcs (who no one outside the unapproachable East would recognize as semi-civilized) KOS?" etc.

Other than HF's high level list above, think some of the other class & PrC stuff involved some great or small liberties being taken with substitute abilities from PnP, Swashbucklers get a lot of combat useful stuff that would've just been panache/showmanship skill buffs in PnP, probably because the game doesn't have swingable chandeliers or the ability to somersault over railings and such. *shrugs*

I believe that the discussion so far has leaned towards the above being "By DM approval" much like other extraordinary PCs, with Grey Orc being somewhat sketchy in terms of the power they get.

I will try to push for mandatory dinosaur companions for all, but ALFA ninjas may prevent it.
