Fallen paladin/Risen blackguard

I've seen a number of threads about fallen paladins.
But if you're a blackguard who stays your blade from killing a child because it's eyes reminds youof their long lost mother and makes you cry and become good suddenly (just beiong silly), what happens?
BGuard levels become fighter levels?
Levels stay but just sensible use of abilities? (ie dont summon undead)
I can't see a Blackguard becoming a paladin very quickly.....for some reason it makes sense for the reverse to happen faster as a good god would want to see some serious penance/evidence befroe gifting them with their proection.

Well, assuming that not killing someone is sufficient cause for an alignment change (I don't think it would usually be, but hey, that's the relevant DM's call.) becoming nonevil is cause to lose your blackguard powers. Saying that they become "fighter" levels would be a misnomer; you don't get any feats for failing as a blackguard. They become warrior levels, just as your paladin levels effectively become warrior levels when you fall, save for that paladin isn't a PrC, and thus comes with no unique and quirky abilities, like the ability to gain powers from a now atrophied and useless class.
Also, becoming good again isn't the same as completing an atonement; by PnP, it takes a cleric of at least 9th level who is willing to spend 500 xp on your fallen arse - an a quest of magnitude relative to the crimes commited - to regain status as a paladin.

What happens to the feats already obtained as a Blackguard and Paladin? Do they become null and void until you have redeemed yourself, or do they remain in effect even when you're a "warrior"?

I'm pretty sure you lose class abilities and divine feats (smite, turn undead, divine grace, etc) and keep the rest.

Only the divine ones, not stuff like weapon or armour proficiencies.

Well, this is why I make the comparison to warriors: they still get 1 feat every 3 levels and proficiency in heavy armor/martial weapons.
But, yeah, all of the abilities granted by the compact with a fiend and/or an evil god go away, so all related feats (while still present) cease to function. Divine Shield isn't worth anything if you can't turn undead, right? Right.
