Recall

Post by Rotku »

Just quickly checking the charter to see how long the elections last, and I noticed something that I found interesting - probably boring to most other people.

(1) The charter states that any Admin in breach of any provision of the Charter instantly has a recall vote against him/her (3.4)
(2) The charter states that there MUST be a minimum of 5 ARs, and a maximum of 10 ARs at any time, and that it is the player admins responsbility to see such (2.4)
(3) As there are currently only 1 or 2 ARs, the moment the new PA is elected, if followed to the word, there should be a recall against him/her.

I sincerely doubt anyine is retarded enough to put forth a recall motion agains a newly elected PA for not having a full complitment of ARs. I guess wait and see if at least a geniune effort is made about recruiting before thinking of more drastic measures. It's not like the PA will be willingly violating the charter.

Let's hold your recall and election votes at the exact same time.

And I'll say, I always knew you were up to no good. Your recall has been coming for far too long.

Considering the current active membership and overall work load, is it absolutely necissary to have a minimum of 5 ARs in ALFA?

I'd say the Charter should be changed to be some sort of 1 AR per 50 active players or somesuch, based on Zic's and Roek's wonderful stat pages.

I think it should be changed to

"However many you can get to volunteer for the job, up to X." Where X = something like 2 per 50 members.

1 per Live server isn´t such a bad idea, to a maximum of X. Need a max in there, so if a Live server were to disappear one wouldn´t have to "fire" an AR.

And thanks Wynna. Will take you up on that, once the elections are over.

I wouldn't want to embarass you. Besides, I'm already running in the Lead election, and I can't hold two positions.

Run with Mord and each can hold half of each position. Totally feasible.
