NWN2 TLK File

Finally going to try NWN2...

Downloaded files from FTP... ok
8 Haks .. unrared and piut into HAK folder ..ok
One Portrait file .. unrared and copied to .. ok
One PWC for Silvy .. unrared and put into PWC folder .. ok

Intalled and updated NWN2 to most recent version ..ok

So far so good, but when i try to join i get message to say missing TLK file .. a file I cannot find anywhere on the FTP

Can someone link to it for me please

There is no TLK afaik. I didn't need one when i installed nwn2 the other day anyway.

Grab worldgate and run that,- should sort you out.

(Since you didn't mention it I should also point out that you need the NWN2 expansion MotB)

There is one, but it's always proved a little secretive.

Guess TSM requires it but not BG2,- hrm.

Haven't mentioned it before because it never struck me as a big problem

And maybe it is on Worldgate. I'm often wrong about these things. Certainly not a big problem. It affects builders who actually load the toolset only. (Kudos to Damart for getting to that stage )

That suggested to me its required to play. If it's only for builders its certainly no biggy.
According to AL, it does update via worldgate.

Trouble was I didnt have a previous install, wasnt yet using Worldgate...
and so DLed them all as single HAKS using the info from the Download section which didnt itemise the tlk file.

Tried to install Worldgate since but not sure if its sorted...

anyhow... i got it to work now...

The tlk file was added to the main ALFA-Live worldgate alongside the haks, and is required for login to TSM currently, though it isn't really used for much yet.

The various beta servers may or may not have adopted it yet, depending.

Also put a copy of the tlk in C:/Program Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2 when building with alfa stuff.. seems to be something changed last patch and I get errors if its not in there..

Are you saying through your testing, the new patch requires a statically linked tree of the toolset to function ?

Could it possibly be that you are incorrect ? or is this like, a known issue, that they decided to do this ?

Either you're full of it or they have no idea how to code AT ALL. I count neither out at this point, through I would place a decent bet on this not being a serious bug, simply cause i doubt they are THIS retarded.
