For those who still play NWN1 (esp. from a slow connection)

Okay, so, progress is being made with the 1.69 patch, and I'm looking at promising prospects for everything that could've been a deal-breaker for the patch; it's down to the usual tech work grind, looks like, until I can put together a pretty ahp_3.05.hak and give a hearty "huzzah, upgrade!" to match.

That said, unless a third canidate for TA pops up with a 'NWN1 must not upgrade' platform, any result of the election will likely end with a NWN on 1.69, and those players who are still on slower connections will need to look into downloading the patch today. ahp_3.05 is turning into a big file quickly -- it's already 25 megs, and I'm not sure I'm done with the file-bloating aspects of the upgrade -- and the 1.69 patch is a veritable behemoth at 310 megs.

If anyone is still on dial up, I have a split-archive version of the critical rebuild version of 1.69 (why the rebuild? Well, yeah. The patch is huge enough and pervasive that the rebuild is the same size. May as well chase bugs from file use in your clients out while patching, right?) The chunks are still large enough that a dialup user is looking at an overnight download for each piece of the patch, but getting started now can at least keep you from having a week of down time while waiting for a patch to download.

Correct.

You'll be sitting out of play for a short while if you install, unless you roll back before logging into any ALFA servers (hence the rollback link going up too)
