For those who dont know the originating point:
http://www.alandfaraway.org/phpbbforum/ ... hp?t=39010

Valid concerns were posted, and abruptly stopped short of any DM response.

I PM'd Rusty About it.
"Thread was nonspecific to looting tables, and there was no need to lock it. It still would have been nice to hear from our local DM team about wealth concerns in the interim."
I got this response
That's a definitive answer, Amar. There will be more loot, just not for a few days. TSM DMs have much better things to do than listen to people complaining about not having enough GP, particularly when the parties involved are both serial complainers and serial non-contributors.

Rusty
So obviously, because I choose not to build, and am concerned about an issue, im a serial complainer and serial non-contributor, and do not deserve a response from people I want to hear from.

EDIT: Despite the fact that Ive barely been around for 2 years.

I think he was you know, talking about me and mikayla there mostly mate. You know, after all, all we do is bitch and whine(well at least I do) and mik was only Player admin for like what? 3-4 terms? Nothing! I was maybe HDM for a year or two, but psh, that was back in ALFA1! Thing of the past you know? We're on to ALFA2 now. Get with the picture man!

Loot is going to happen soon.

I don't, not when it's Vendrin or Mikayla.

And non-contributers?

*ahem*

The server is Live Rusty. Relax. It's out of your hands, thankfully, so back off and let people speak their minds, especially when it's people who've contributed so very much.

can i haz phat lewt?

Anyway, it's good to see a DM stick up for its player base. It's also not a Mandos-esq "Good job, kid! You got the power-up and won the game!", which makes it very lovable. No, I don't have much to add -- although my name was listed twice in Vendrin's original post, I'm just kinda "eh" about the whole subject.

Toodles~

Loot scripts are centrally developed.

ACR I guess determines the "how" loot generated... ie., the scripts that I assume people like cipher and Acadius Lost, and maybe others, have worked out.

ABR I guess defines the "what" loot generated... ie. every item whether mundane, masterwork, magical that have been developed for custom pallettes, darrenhfx's is one of the main names associated with the topic, I am sure other contributors have organized efforts on point to get goodies into the pallette.

Standards I guess defines "why" loot generated... ie. what's a fair payout for an encounter, all other things being equal? What adjustments ought to be made downward if the encounter's with unintelligent / animal stuff like bears, oozes, skeletons? What about upward adjustment for highly acquisitive critters, like successful raiders, certain underdark races, or (unlikely to be worried about for a long while), dragons?

Anyhow, lots of central stuff goes on that's meant to apply across all servers.

Implementation is pretty naturally, going to be local to any ALFA server, TSM'll be the first. TSM then gets the "extra" job of being the bugtester, dirty job but someone's got to do it. Ideally it would've been something to do in beta, but all reports are that everyone's having fun and feeling good, and taking bugs / interruptions / too-good-to-be-true moments in stride (i.e., going Live outweighed "waiting" type of thing, all good).

It shows how much of a whiner he is and how much of an ass Rusty is, no great epiphany forthcoming for any would be readers.
