A Land Far Away

I asked in IRC last night if there was a server map knocking about. Aparently there *was* one but its long since lost, so I decided to make myself marginely useful, and put one together.

If your still asking "WTF IS A SERVER MAP????", its basically a map pointing out the boundarys for each server. Providing a simple way to see the connections between the servers and any missing pieces.

Ill be working on this as a little on going project, I'd like to keep it up to date so that it can be used as a resource for ALFA.

The first draft, which was completed in the early hours of the morning and after much coffee, is below. It is NOT finished. It is NOT 100% accurate. Its just something to show. \o/

It is a LARGE file, im not going to engage in browser warfare by stretching your browser beyond recognition so click the link to see.


Once ive got an 100% accurate draft, ill go on to create a greater quality version also adding towns not shown on this map and then colour coordinating it for greater clarity.

Here's the one I made in consultation with the DMs back when we were formulating our plans. By all means use it to help guide your own, because yours is very stylish.

Looks awesome! I really like the map a bit 'dark' and the server area's lit up. Great job!

Heh, you should have asked mate, and saved yourself some work. I had an updated one 90% done - just put on hold while I got the APM up. But now you've done the work, who am I to stop you

I realize that we're a long way from having a Cold Lands server but you may want to stretch your map a little bit to the east to squeeze us in.

Heh, nevermind. Perhaps theres a way I can make this one more unique, make my work worth something >.<. I was thinking of adding a "status/progress" line under each realm, ah im not sure. Gave me something to do any rate.

The above versions are just lite versions of the full map. I cut it down only to the presently in realms. A full version is below. Speaking of which, im struggling to find Cold Lands, can you point it out to me?

Just to the east of Thangs' glorious evil realm you will find Vaasa and Damara. If you throw your loop over these 2, you pretty much have the Cold Lands covered.

Your map is looking great btw.

I think I'll add it as a small clickable map where you can click on a server region and it'll bring you to the specific server page (I should be able to do that easily with dreamweaver).
There will also be a link under it so that you can see/download the full map.

Im in the process of adding minor towns and roads onto the map that are in the game, but not on the map. Some of that is already representative on my last map in TSM.

I can make a copy of the base map too without the server boundrys but with the new modifications, if you wish.

As you wish but I think the server boundaries are very important for the Game Servers page.
