Been a while, so here is where we are at:

Exteriors are mostly done. I'd like to see one or two more, but I think we have enough to work with. All linked except for Silverymoon, which will be shortly.

You will have a run from Rivermoot to Silverymoon and High Hold to QuarryVar.

Interiors are still in progress, but there will be enough for beta 2 shortly.

I am hoping to have her up online shortly, within a days or a week if the host is still avail. You will see the exterior areas and if I get the database up, hopefully some spawns. I can't guaratee quests yet, but what I am hoping for is that people will log in and run around all the areas. Since last beta I have put in a 20 exteriors and ripped out about 5 exteriors (to be stored for later expansions), so you will see some familiar areas, and then some (IMHO) really awesome stuff that will blow your socks off if the familiar areas Indio did didn't already.

If people could log and run around (the only time you get to do it in ALFA) and check things out that would be cool. There will be a lot of realestate to explore (assuming we get things online). I have based the scale on a grid with my own funky formula for estimating actual size to the map. So when you go from Silverymoon to Rivermoot, you gotta walk a pretty good distance.

So, hopefully in the next few days or a week, this will come to pass :)

I am still willing to host 003 during this early Beta phase- the current hosting plan we'd considered was to have Marklos host the OAS2 for a while once 003 is ready, to free up my machine and connection for 003. I anticipate a fair bit of work in getting the ACR updated, DMFI installed and configured, etc- so I was hoping to use 003 as the guinea pig for documenting the ACR installation/adaption process. By the time I've got it working smoothly, alternative hosting options may also be available (Angel_Caller?).

If needs be, I think we can switch module hosting between Marklos and I, to learn more about the hosting needs of a large beta/live server (OAS2 is "only" 780 megabytes or so). Marklos' connection has better bandwidth, while my hosting machine has the edge on processing power and memory.

So, in short, I'd prefer to host 003 as soon as it's available, at least for a trial and error period to ease the transition of getting it up and running with the latest ACR scripts. I'd like to try to have full custom skill support active on it as well, if I can. If Rick would rather, I can try to send erfs and give generalized tech support to the process from afar, but it's somewhat uncharted territory, so I'd anticipate some hurdles.

Exciting times, though! Looking forward to it.

I should have the ground level of Silvy Uni ready for you soon, Rick, so that you can link the area transitions and get an idea of size. There'll probably be another area of approximately the same size as this one, a much smaller third and perhaps an even smaller fourth.
Enjoy the game

Rick, give me some work to do. Since you are not putting in roads to MH for awhile, I can do other things. Exteriors, interiors, etc. Whatever. Don't wanna waste my toolset build talent writing quests when non-builder DMs can do that.

I can code quests, just need em written. So, someone start writing and give me some work to do.
