Awesome, as usual. 8)

Terrific Rick.

There's a rope sway bridge that will suit your purposes better I suspect. It's a custom one you'll need the erf for from the custom forum.

Oh good, I thought there was one but was short on time to find it. The area is just my first run, so I'll be fine tuning it over the next day or so. In fact, I think I'll change the tower to a crusty old brown one that reeks of troll dung

The bridge is also a good metaphor to portray alfa as a whole.

Nicely done.

The bridge as a metaphor for ALFA?

Only if there are are about 200 people standing on it, some of whom are repeatedly talking about what a crappy bridge it is, some talking about what a better bridge you can find down the river, some defending the bridge, some trying to set each other on fire while ON the bridge, a handful struggling to build the rest of the bridge, a few trying to take "command" of the bridge, a few publishing regulations on how to use the bridge, and about two dozen people actually using the bridge for what it was intended for.

Don't forget those who jump from the bridge while swearing bitter vengance on all who have wronged them.

Har! I like that.

But then it would be a pretty good portrait of the real thing, not so much of a metaphor...

You could even add in the fact that the bridge has no ropes to bind it in place...and that most logs are pointing in different directions.
