OK, just messing around with special effects for the Moonbridge. Feedback requested, but remember, there is not a whole lot to work with for special effects placeables, in fact, we are pretty limited, not like NWN1.

It's actually the exact opposite, special effects are completely unlimited... if anyone here's figured out how to use the editor yet. :f

Best way to do it is to open an existing effect (not the .sef file, but a particle effect, billboard or whatever) and alter the parameters to see what happens. Failing that there are some big packages of new effects on the Vault. Having said that I think that bridge looks spiffy.

Is there an area effect that would create a soft, silvery glow?

We've got a lot of extra effects in the haks, though I was having some trouble with them last time I was testing (for the drow caves' phosphorescent mushroom spores effects). We've got Camb's packs, as well as the FX from the Magical Fountains set. Not sure that any of those are right for the Moonbridge, but inquiring editors ought to have more to play with while learning the FX editor.

Yeah, by doing that I've learned a little of how the thing works, but I still can't figure out how to make anything new. I tried for about a week to make an effect for my lightning walls/gates and didn't have a bit of luck. I'm really hoping the promised documentation comes soon.

I think I'll keep the bridge this way for now, perhaps in the future it may change. Glad you like the House danielnm!

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the bridge, it'd just be awesome to create a custom effect to perfectly replicate the drawing of it.

Heh, if I weren't knee-deep in interiors for Silverymoon, I would spend more time on it, and I may once I have a spare moment after live.
