I am having problem when trying to login to ALFA servers, I believe it concern either GS or the game.
First, i don't see all the servers on GS and need to reconect GS few times to see all the servers which are working (each time GS present different servers.
Second, 95% of the login attempt to login end with "time out" note.
third and most odd, when i switch the GS to history or favorites I see the servers which are working in red but with ping=(-1) or (0).
I haven't played the the game (NWN1) for couple of months and now that I try to do so all this happen
Can anyone tell me what is the problem and how to fix it.
Thanks in advance Zorkin.

Gamespy has always been dodgy at showing servers.
Additionally, alot of servers have disappeared. If you are getting timeouts to one of the servers that does remain (check the individual server forums, there are only 6 i think) then probably have a talk with the HDM to make sure you have the right details.

Currently I show listing on Gamespy:
Arable City
Moonshaes
Northern Cormyr
Shadowdale
________
ALFA servers that are up and running but don't list on gamespy:
OAS
Sembia
________
http://www.alandfaraway.org/serverstatus.php
this link shows current servers
the only error I note is Daggerdale which, i think, is in a temporary hosting void but planning to be live again soon.
((someone can correct me if I am wrong))
hope that helps

I am trying everything to be able to login to alfa's servers and get a full view of the servers on GS, even reinstall the game with no avail.
When getting into Multiplayer option in NWN i see at the GS screen only few servers (sometimes i can't connect to the main GS server) and when i try to make a direct connect to one of the server it ends with "get no respond from the server" and "time out".
Even when i try to connect to one of the server from GS site. it doest work i believe it because the servers weren't lighted (had a dark color) which maybe means GS isn't connected to them.
(I have to say that rarely i do login to a server but it is very very rarely)
Is there a way to connect to a server when GS isn't showing it, or is there a way to bypass this problem.
I hope there is something i can do to be able to login. Thanks for any help that will come, Zorkin

If you check the main tab you should only see servers in red (password) and blue. Normalyyou'd only see gray for offline servers in your history or favorite tab.

There's nothing you can do on your side to make servers show on GS. That's a server side issue that as far as I know nobody ever really understood. There's no reason however for direct connect not to work, unless you're using the wrong IP. And if you're looking at the server status page you might as well have the wrong one, at least for sembia. Try it with the correct one.

Have you changed or updated your firewall? I had similar trouble because my firewall was blocking the connection after an update.

Thank you both, I will try to check out the IP usually i use and the firewall issue.
*cross fingers* I hope it will work.
