Then please consider donating to this project. It doesn't have to be much - $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can afford to part with one time or each month. Click on the link below for details or on the donation button below the navigation to the left of your screen.

How does this actually serve YOU?
The funds we collect will be put towards acquiring better hosting hardware (servers) and/or obtaining commercial hosts for our modules, which in layman's terms all translates to vastly improved game performance (ie less lag) and much more reliability (ie greater up time).
So once again, if you're looking for a way to help, but you don't really want to do anything, then please donate to our infrastructure fund and help us deliver a great game experience for everyone, including you. Zicada's poll a few months back showed that there was more than a dozen of you willing to donate, but to date, nobody has. If you were one of those who answered Zic's poll in the affirmative, please just take a second to click on that donate button.
Thank you!

<Castano>: danielnm - can you blame them?
<danielmn>: Yes,
<danielmn>: Easily.

Nevermind, looks like it is not. But, just for everyones reference, there is a PAY PAL connection on the main page as well.

Jayde, the PayPal account is Hialmar's personal account. It is not an ALFA account. According to Hialmar, Lead has also been given access to it (Rotku would need to confirm). There's an explanation in the donation thread. And yes, donators will certainly have to trust that Hialmar and Rotku will use donations in accordance with the stated purpose.
A decision on incorporation has not yet been made. The discussion stalled and probably always will unless someone chooses to champion and drive the issue.
And just for the sake of clarity, in light of the recent discussions about helping ALFA, I just wanted to point out to our members (who are not already doing so) that they can in fact invest financially in ALFA's future if they cannot invest their time into the project. That option is very much available to everyone and it will certainly have a dramatic impact on the quality of "game" ALFA can offer every bit as much as the artistic marvels of our hard working builders.
Thanks for reading.
p.s. The title may read rather poorly but it's the best "catch phrase" I could contrive given the character constraints on the subject field.

The point is that Hialmar currently is footing quite the bill on ALFA's account currently, on his own.
Now, I can only tell you that Hialmar is trustworthy, as our co-purchase of a server machine for ALFA has shown me, and that the risk of him embezzling the money is quite low. If he does... some of us could always trek over and punch his nose
.
This has nothing to do with incorporation or legalities or anything - this is helping spread the running costs of our web hosting for boards and vault from one individual over some volunteers.

The power of concealment lies in revelation.

Thanks Alara but to tell the truth other people are also footing the bill for ALFA.
We have 3 or 4 dungeonserver accounts being paid by game server hosters and of course the other servers are on paid cable lines almost dedicated to ALFA.
If the donations are too much, I might ask some of these people if they want me to send them money for those other very important parts of ALFA's infrastructure.

I can vouche for the strain running a server out of your pocket can cause. One of the main reasons (pretty much no.1) that I took down Western Frontier was because I couldn't foot the DungeonServer bill every month anymore.
ALFA incorporating gives me the jibblies for some reason, but if it means that ALFA has its own servers, its own hosting, its own everything, and doesn't need to rely on third-parties then I would be more than willing to donate a little.
