Mmmm.. The only problem I have with that thread is that many of the old dead horses have been resurrected with success and actually implemented atleast in some form. As long as it is not a "do not talk about these ever"-list, but more of a list of current topics that have been discussed recently and are not likely to be opened again in the near future, I'm cool with it.
Huh?

Alfalfa sprouts and horse flesh go together...kind makes sense.
Of course the flesh is raw and the dish is served cold, but anyways,........
Politically
- Bourgeous elitist idealism would have the admin veto topics and created dissention, trying to better ALFA.

-Liberal democratic hedonists would lag the forums with self intent, trying to better ALFA.

Burt would reign laughing!

IMO: regulate and support release of dead horses.

Just because an issue is void now with our current outlook doesnt mean it can't be brought up
and discussed in the future. No dead horse thread! Say NO to stagnation!

I really enjoy when a newcomer (like myself) brings up a topic and some of the delightfully witty ALFA mainstays spam the thread with those clever dead horse images and other charming pointers that that very topic was already discussed, regardless of whether it was a year or two ago.
I guess newcomers to ALFA don't have the right to discuss things that the ALFA elite already talked about.

Right!

And the reason for having the dead horse thread back is so to give us another place to mock you for asking about them.

Not so much that, but once youve been around for awhile, you really start to hate seeing the same dead horses come up every couple of months. At the very least a dead horse thread with explinations would be good for us to point new comers too so they dont inadvertantly start a flame war with the existing and vocal ALFAns and feel like they stirred up the hornets nest and get scared away.

I voted for #3 for obvious reasons... But I'm actually with Haltoc in this matter. I have no clue what was posted hear a year ago and thus it would be great to know if the matter I'm possibly worried about has already been discussed. The thread must not prevent unearthing those same subjects again if there actually is a new point of view and some fresh thinking though.
