Isn't this against our policy on DMs DMing player factions they have PC's involved in? Regardless perhaps better starting another thread about the idea.Analogkid wrote:
Example: Lets say there are 5 of us who participate in this, and we decide we want to play weekly. That means 4 of us can step up to become DMs on different servers. I step up and DM us on one server week 1, Player 2 DMs us on the next server the same day/time the next week, and so on, as the rotations continues on each month.
Obviously if more sessions are desired, we can try to coordinate them. Each session will be run as the given DM that session desires. Events can range from being a lich trying to take over a city over the course of a year through political machinations and use of evil minions, or it can be a bar brawl one week and saving a farmers daughter from bandits the next.

The sessions would not tie to each other. So you're telling me that currently DMs have nothing to do with others they play with? If there is no current/outside DM willing to DM the group what do you suggest?Ithildur wrote:

It's not 'have nothing to do with those you DM, as a PC'... the potential conflict of interest I believe is specifically if you DM (patron DM?) a group/faction (say Banites or Ora'Tel'Quessir) that your PC is also part of... although thinking back I suppose it has been allowed in the past with permission I presume.
Anyway... off topic.

Rumple:
We are trying to keep a player's group active in MS, Wrath's Wind. We updated the signup on the Player Group forum. Fears_Bane has been DMing us 1/week. Cloud has jumped in a few times as well.
So as of now, I think we are good.

This means: " I posted my rant in this thread but it was meant for another thread so since I don't have option of deleting the post I instead replaced the entirety of the 'no no no never 2 pcs on the same same server' with the letter 'x' instead...as close to deletion as I could get."HEEGZ wrote:What does this even mean?dergon darkhelm wrote:x

Re: Player group and DM match making service
Hi,
I'm really struggling to find players to DM, players to play with or even the hallowed scenario- a DM to play my PC with.
If anyone has room for a "goodly aligned" level 6 amnian amnesic halfling sorcereress please let me know.
If anyone wants a DM on moonshaes for GMT timezones, perhaps in a campaign, let me know too.

I have a certain elf who is feeling the lack of love as well. Perhaps I will grace WHL with my presence.Iarwain wrote:How does Tuesdays at 20:30 GMT at WHL sound?
Also, OT, like I told you on the IRC.. just send me a tell when im online. You dont have to wait for an invite to come knocking on the door.
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.
