Who gives a damn if the new site and forums are running fast and smooth if you can't point to your post count to prove how knowledgable, profound and superior you are.

Set everyone to 10,000 and modify the code so every time they post it reduces the number.

I haven't modified any code so far, and I won't start now. We only add modules to add stuff, never modify any code. Because doing so makes it horrible every time there's an upgrade to on any backend. I'm so glad I'm in charge of this stuff so nobody are allowed to make such mistakes.

I spend(t) 95% ingame compared to 5% in here checking my emails and server forums. Now that I am a slacker the ratio has reversed. I wouldnt call people who help maintain this site slackers, it's their jobs to live here. The 'slackers' are the ones who live in here and it isnt their job, demand change from alfa, troll to create drama, yet have no vested intrest ingame. Im not saying it's the original guy who began this thread. I know for a fact he is very active (or was at least) in TSM. It's those other folks *points about* who need to find another website and find a nice comfey bridge to live under. BTW My soapbox rant isnt just directed at this thread.

While measuring one's worth in the community by raw post count is a bit absurd, there is some value in post counts as a way for new members to quickly recognize the replies and posts that are coming from people who have been active in the community for years.

Similarly, cutting someone's post count to zero seems to me a rather immature response to the topic, and is needlessly disrespectful.

I'm not too bothered one way or another, but it seems agreement was reached, so this thread no longer serves a purpose.
