Zhentil Keep Wizard's Guild overlooks one of the ten worst places of any kind The ramshackle "Inn" is most inappropriately named "The Pride of Zhentil Keep" and while cheap (for an inn in Zhentil Keep at any rate) the fare, service and lodgings are about as bad as you can get. Despite this, the "Inn" is usually brimming to rafters with the worst kind of rogues and low-lifes to be found east of the Great Desert.. Oh did I mention its the starting area :)

Just plugging away now that my build rig is back up and running.. In Addition to the mod, here's some placeable stained glass I've been reskinning for the community as well..

Obviously the Bane and Loviatar glass I really needed since there was nothing even resembling a holy symbol for the major churches in ZK..

Glad you like it Evro and good to see you about..

Feast your eyes people because I just lost all the work I did on rebuilding the wizard guild in a crash for the 17th billion time. And people wonder why my server isnt live...

Yes, this toolset is the worst ever for crashing. We have lost builders because of the #@$$@^%$ programming. I just spent yesterday saving my latest work from a crash, fortunately I only lost 2 hours. But I literally back up my work before I start a session and everytime I leave my PC to go to the bathroom or answer the phone. I save it all on a separate hard drive. I also save everything in a directory and export my areas to .erfs in case the area file corrupts, which happens quite often.

Good god, and here I was seriously thinking about tackling the toolset for the first time.

Heh, make something small first. Big tip to avoid crashing, for me at least, whenever you add grass texture, if you clear it, for some reason it always crashes and corrupts the area. This is the biggest one for me, happens all the time to the point where I don't clear any grass anymore, I just leave it in because if I do, I blow the area (that's why I export them to .erfs first)

Holy crap. Is this a known obsidian bug? If not it seems like it should be.

I've never had that issue.

It seems like every builder's toolset has a - "do this and get screwed feature". Mine is trying to set groups of placeables as environmental objects. Rick's is grass and Thang's is everything.

Been working on the Western Moonsea Dynamic Travel Area to make sure y'all have wilds to wander.

I've decided to focus my efforts going into live on the Western Branch of the Moonsea and River Tesh. This area has Zhentil Keep, Yulash, Teshwave, Phlan and Hillsfar in it. Key geographic features are The Dragonspine Mts, the Moonsea, The River Tesh, The Great Grey Land of Thar, The Stojanow River and the great forest of Cormanthor.

Should be a good place to get things rolling at least. I suspect I'm going to need a second server and module to fully recreate the Moonsea Eastern environs as well but we'll see how we go.

needed a break from Zhentil Keep building so I decided to make a start on Phlan.. here's an early draft of the northwest section of Phlan where the Slums, Kuto's well and Cadorna Textile House all reside..

Beautiful. Is there a tutorial you and indio used to insert the map on the ground? I have YATT, but did not really understand the instructions.

That's amazing. This appears to cut building time substantially, and the results are phenomenal. Beautiful work, Thangs.
Enjoy the game

Looks great! Silly question though...

I've lost track of when ALFA is taking place in the FR timeline, and even if I did know, I'm not fluent enough in FR History to know what that would mean. So, what is the state of Phlan in ALFA2? Is it still mostly an unclaimed ruin (like in the old computer games) or is it back in good health and civilized?

Laying those maps down as a blueprint really makes it true to the PnP version, which is what sucked me into ALFA in the first place. Awesome work!
