Re: Welcome to the new forums!
Old links to other forum posts (obviously) don't work anymore. Would it be possible to replace every instance of "alandfaraway.org/phpbbforum/" with "alandfaraway.org/phpbbforum/" in order to fix this?
Re: Welcome to the new forums!
Possibly yes, if the actual post and thread id's stayed the same. Will look into that.hollyfant wrote:Old links to other forum posts (obviously) don't work anymore. Re: Welcome to the new forums!
I love Dark Fantasy as well.
Colours are great to eye and it looks generally pleasing.
Two things that makes it not as convenient as Subsilver, though:
Waste of space in both L and R sides of screen. Widescreen posts are much more pleasant to read, but the colours in Subsilver make my head ache.
In Dark Fantasy seeing whether there is new posts in certain subforum seems to require hovering a cursor over subforum name rather than seeing outright whether there´s new posts. Might not seem a biggy, but when surfing in a hurry, it can be.
Overall, after getting used to it a bit new website seems to be pretty great and thanks for the hard work. The abovementioned are just few details I found worthy to give a feedback on.

I can look into making a version of it which is wider. Shouldn't be too problematic.Arkan Bladesinger wrote:I love Dark Fantasy as well.

Best way to look for new posts is to just click 'view new posts' I HIGHLY recommend it. I would go insane if i didn't have that option myself I think.

Would appreciate it greately if you did and I don´t think I´m the only oneI can look into making a version of it which is wider. Shouldn't be too problematic.

About new posts I suppose I just have to change my ways, heh. Good point.

Re: Welcome to the new forums!
the reason dark fantasy width is fixed is probably due to the border image on the bottom
i can edit some of images and look into the code to make links a brighter color when there is a new topic....
and maybe work on over all dark fantasy temp for site...

All links in the entire database are now changed from /phpBB2 to /phpbbforums

Re: Welcome to the new forums!
Just curious if I had PMs in my outbox before the whole BC / AD change over ... do I need to resend them?

Re: Welcome to the new forums!
Its used as a helpdesk to sort things out for new players or players who are having technical difficulties etc. It's monitored by a handful of people who would be able to help with most common issues.Rotku wrote:Oh, also it would be nice if the website chat logged into #alfa as well as #alandfaraway (is #alandfaraway ever used any more?)
I'll look into giving users options though.

Oh, also the right hand sidebar on the main site seems to overlap with the chat program. It could just be this stupid computer, I don´t know.
Otherwise, it looks great! Good work zic (& co)!
