I wasn't trying to postulate a ridiculous need to go over the top - sometimes, especially for Speakers of Other Languages, it can be a lot easier to type the reaction in an emotional way than to describe it. That should however be the exception, not the rule - striving to paraphrase and find a good description is well worth the effort.

ALFA tries to be crème de la crème of roleplaying, and this is a simple rule of roleplaying etiquette that helps with immersion and the general elegance of presentation.
