I'll play again if you will. I'll put my current PC on ice and start over with a new PC.

Re: Favourite ALFA/Other moments?
I saw this topic and had to put in my two coppers.
But honestly, it's kind of hard to say. There were many great moments.
I remember when Boom decided to bring me on as an ADM in Waterdeep. (This was following a coup in The Pirate Isles when Lafter got me booted off staff.) I was pissed and bitter and on the verge of quitting ALFA entirely, but going back to my first server as a staff member was tempting. I was glad I did.
I was still in college in 2003 and 2004, and I remember fondly coming home from class in the afternoon and being sure to fit in an hour or two of ambiance DMing before going to the gym, and after a few weeks I noticed that players started to follow my DMing schedule, which made me feel fantastic. This was during the time of the undead invasion in Waterdeep, and there were several young clerics (Clarion was one, and I think another was a baddie named Abaddon?) and it made for some very interesting RP with competing groups of baddies and good guys trying to exploit the situation to the advantage of their respective sects.
Later on I created an ongoing plot with a fun little drow villain (Nyn'zideck) and eventually the players caught him and he was hanged. It was fun to be able to lurk around as a DM afterward and watch them all celebrate.
As a player, my first event was what got me really hooked on ALFA. It was the culmination of Jayde's 'Ether Realm' event and my wet-behind-the-ears bard got stuck with Phylin's half-orc. (And that half-orc was a real a-hole.) I didn't know anything about ALFA at the time or I probably would have said forget it, but off I went, the good guys won, I died and a lucky prayer roll brought my character back. (Only to die again two weeks later in a bear hunt, this time for good.)
I remember being scared to death to do any events with Sheriff Andrew, because people always seemed to get nailed by a stray fireball. Getting to go on Danubus' Bryn Shander quests as an inaugural Icewind Dale adventurer was pretty neat. Dragging my female dwarven warrior to Lonelywood and inadvertently walking into the Nazi elves' lodge while trying to find a tavern was a pretty good time. I felt even more accomplished when she later became powerful enough to walk across all of Baldur's Gate without dying.
That's just a handful of my fond memories of this place. In the end, I think I enjoyed creating stories for the players to take on and run with far more than playing itself.

Re: Favourite ALFA/Other moments?
Did I post to this yet? Maybe? I'm not searching through 11 pages of text to find out.
Favorite moments:
Getting kidnapped by drow and taken to the Underdark, escaping, running through Undermountain, losing Seva, running back to find him in a room standing waist-deep in slaughtered zombies. I still tell this story at any gaming session when people ask for my favorite gaming moment. Also, Zyrax has been my second favorite PC all-time ever.
The time I spent playing Zacho on The Pirate Isles. I still don't know how I remembered how to do his accent.
Helping start up and then running the OAS.
Helping DM the war in Loudwater and all of the side plots I did there.
... Man I had a lot more free time in college

Re: Favourite ALFA/Other moments?
Oh god, I just read Akivaria's post above. So many memories. I actually got chills. Zyrax ended up dying to those nazi-elves and I made a stink of it because there wasn't a DM present when the PvP happened. I was pissed, lol. And the mention of Abbadon's name still gives me chills to this day. It's like Shenzi in the Lion King when someone says "Mufasa".

Re: Favourite ALFA/Other moments?
Thanks for the memories. I rolled a paladin in 2003 on WD, and Jayde took us on a wild ride through the sewers, and we barely survived, but I got my sweet illegal sword!
I loved exploring NWN1 WD, so many people worked on it, patched it, rebuilt areas, and forgot about places. You would stumble somewhere and just say wow!
Then I got to build it for a while, I was just blown away by how much effort was put into it.
While I loved building Silverymoon for NWN2, I could never get my head around the NWN2 interface.
I think I loved NWN1 the best, we had 15 servers at one time! What a world!
