Vendrin issued perhaps the compliment that I most fondly remember, after looking at some screenshots of Skullport. Fluff was right; I found myself wanting more.

My favorite ALFA moment was the very first time I played with a DM.
It was in Beta, and I had a gnome illusionist. One of the other players asked what spells I could cast... and I remarked that I could perform magic that would project a cone of scintillating colors from my hands, blinding my enemies! (the gnome was particularly impressed with his own magic).
And the DM gave me a 10xp bump because I didn't say "I can cast color spray".
I honestly don't remember much about the session, and had a decent number of great DM'd sessions throughout ALFA-NWN1, but just the idea that there was a real person on the other side reacting and rewarding based on what my PC said or did... was awesome. While I never had high level PC's (my highest was 5th or 6th level) and my characters were often involved with DM's more as supporting cast members for other PC's in the lead, it was always awesome to be online with people crafting a story as a group in the way role playing games should be played.
Current PC: I'm not tellin'. They die when I put their names here.
@indio- Nice read. I always appreciated the time I spent playing with you as a player or being DM'ed. Lots of good memories. I believe I once DM'ed you on loudwater, and forced you to call a time out, due to the number of bad guys chasing you? ( my memory might be off there). Then there was the time you had me running around punching other players because my PC was possessed.
Apart from great RP memories, I got a real buzz from having areas accepted into the game... I think a few still survive to this day, and have been well complemented. You can really get lost in the toolset... hours and hours at a time.
I can relate to the burnout phase of ALFA.
Recently, I got about 60% through the Silverymoon rebuild (epic scale rebuild), and fell in a heap. Looking at the amount of work still to do just gets me down now. I've been trying to get up the steam to finish, but no dice so far.
I'll make you a deal.
I'll play again if you will. I'll put my current PC on ice and start over with a new PC.

Western Heartlands HDM: On break. PM for emergencies
Storming a banite strong hold with Duncan, Aitana, and thinkpig in gullykin. Going in, my little hin using trickery and lies to get past every guard until they got to the bottom floor. Almost only getting caught by one who saw through the disguise, but then was thoroughly bitch smacked by his partner for "drinking to much and hallucinating". Getting to the bottom only the get into a major battle with a banite priest, who almost killed everyone. I swear, i have no idea how many scrolls I used that day, but it was over 20, on top of my natural powers. Everyone went down at least once. Only then to free the blue dragons magical bindings and run the hell out of there (looting Madelines P chest on the way), before the blue dragon came down and made crispy banite snacks out of the ones we left alive.
That same group, meeting that same dragon later on in a different DM session. getting to bow before him and sacrifice a zent on a alter to show our faith. Extra kudo's to Duncan for coming up with that while ceremony on the spot.
Dark Mystics game with Kalix, where I was possessed by a agent of the Red Death. Where I got to stand in front of both Bevan and Deva, and tell them both exactly how I would make them pay, and in detail about how i would torturer but not kill (because the torturer wouldn't end) their poor little children they left unprotected out in the big bad world. I swear, I was having so much fun with this I was praying Rothar would taken even longer before he figured out how to get me unpossessed.
Pazzins game finally freeing Kyr from the UD. It was a hell of a ride. Though the very bottom layer of Durlags tower, surrounded by lava and fire imps and hell demons that all tried to kill us every few feet. To Bu deciding to break down a door we couldn't open, only attracting more of them with the din. Going up and up through the tower, making out way past countless zombies, ghouls, alipps, wraiths, shadows, god knows what else. Till we got to the one glowing ghoul we for some reason thought we should fight, which fireballed out faces until we ran away. Running upstairs, only to be confronted with 10 clockwork spiders, which we managed to kill some how, just for Bu to get cut down by a giant animated bastard sword. Then my little drow, on her last invis potion, actually DRAGGING (somehow) Bu's body outside, past the sword, and healing him. Then to realize we are standing on top of the tower, out side, with no potions, no spells, even running low on ammunition, with deaders guarding the whole way down. So what are two pc's to do at this point? Well, one shape shifts into a bear while the other gets on his back and rides him down of course! Lol. I was laughing so hard when paazin had me make ride rolls, 1 natural 20 and like a 17 and 18, paazin going "damn, Kyr rides like a champ"
I will admit by the time we were out I have never ever been so happy to see virtual sunlight.
