New in-game #commands in 1.85
The following new text commands are new in 1.85. You'll see support for these commands rolled out to MS shortly; they are already enabled on BG and TSM.
#t "character name" message - Send cross-server tell.
#tp "player name" message - Send cross-server tell.
#re message - Reply to last cross-server tell (alias: r).
#rt message - Send cross-server tell to last player you sent a tell to (alias: rt).
#users - List online users (alias: who).
#version - List server version information.
#notify [on|off] - Enable or disable cross-server join/part notifications.
#notify [chatlog|combatlog] - Send cross-server join/part notifications to chat log or combat log.
#ping - Show current latency statistics (alias: serverlatency).
#uptime - Show server uptime statistics.
#help - Show help text.
The #t, #tp, #re, and #rt commands work for players on the local server, too. (You can use them to send a message to a player logged in anywhere.)
In addition, the standard dice rolling commands are available, for example, #int, or #wis.

Please Sticky
Re: New in-game #commands in 1.85
I think we need a rule where to put a new sticky up, an old sticky has to be retired
At least, for the forums with 10+ stickies (I suppose the discussion forum isn't quite in that state yet).

Re: New in-game #commands in 1.85
Y'all have made some pretty impressive technical improvements since I was last here - chatting with folks on other servers as well as folks in the ALFA-Chat while in game was .. well .. really cool. Thanks guys.

Re: New in-game #commands in 1.85
And I just found out two nights ago (I am sure I have seen it documented somewhere, maybe in the game itself, but I can only remember so much)...
I was with a group and the DM would go "Roll Search", so I would click on the little box for the UI and open up the "Die Rolls" tab and scroll down to Search, select it and then click on roll. Well, everybody else had rolled in seconds! So, I said "how in the fsck are you rolling so fast?"
Well, if you type into the user chat box # and the first 3 letters of the skill it rolls it for you. So, to roll spot, you just type #spo and there you go.
This may work for rolling abilities and saves too, not sure.

Yeah. The three letter thing should work for everything. I think there was briefly a problem with "#con", should it be rolling constitution or concentrate, forget how that got resolved.

We do our best to crop it down to as short of a string as is necessary to ensure contrast with other possible commands, and we support common abbreviations of things, like #sm for sense motive, #dd for disable device, or #ol for open lock.
// edit-- and that's the minimum length, you can type more, too. Like #spe will give you spellcraft, but so will #spellc
Have you tried #help?WildWombat wrote:I am sure I have seen it documented somewhere, maybe in the game itself

pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.
