Diety switch

Post by Gebb »

Is it possible for a DM to switch a PC's deity in-game, or does that require a re-build?

Easily done for non-clerics. Less easily done for clerics.

Is this mechanistically or lore-wise?
Unless there's some nifty tool I'm not aware of, the mechanics needs a bic edit at minimum.

The IG mechanics are simple, but DMs should require suitable RP before granting such a request. In the cases of those PCs granted Divine spells or powers, changing deities should require considerable effort on the PC's part. If in doubt, consult with your local HDM.
