Hi everyone, and again!

Post by RangerDeWood »

Took way too long of a break there, but not nearly as long as between ALFA1 and ALFA2. :)

Looking to get back into playing on a regular basis and would appreciate some input and feedback from some of the more regular players. First, I need a suggested server to play on. Previously, I was on TSM, but I'm not sure that my schedule would mess well with the player base there anymore :/ I'm living in EST, so GMT -5 currently, but my playing times (except my days off) run from around 5am GMT until about 8-9am GMT. I did notice a single player on BG while I'm posting this, and it seemed to be a rather busy server previously, so I'm kinda leaning that way. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I need a new PC. It's been months since I've played my last one and I don't feel right going back to him after so much time. So, depending on server, what sort of groups are out there that play in my gaming window and what types of PCs are needed to help make a party more cohesive. I hate logging on and wanting to go out only to find out we could've really used a cleric to help heal or a rogue to help deal with some scouting/trapwork.

Well, that's all for now. Currently downloading the newest updates, so maybe tomorrow I'll hop in-game. Until then, ta-ta!

BG is crowded and the DMs tend to cater to the existing groups. TSM is stagnant barring the once in a blue moon DM event that gets their server plot going. MS needs more players and has a regularly progressing server plot and ad hoc DMage from riot in the EST slot. WHL is just starting up and I don't have a clue what their deal will be.

For the record, I play on MS and I'm loving it.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

Who's that guy?!

Ahhh timezone fun. I think eastern US is in daylight time (EDT), which would currently be GMT -4.

If I read you correctly, that would be something like midnight to 4 in the morning?

There are typically several late night west coast players on BG near this time. Also, there is an aussie group I think that plays on MS (Veilan, Swift etc?) near this time. TSM has been seeing more activity in EDT evenings, but typically done by 12 or 1230 from what I've seen.

We'd be happy to have you on MS :)
