Lag

Post by klandearlas »

Hey for those you who are more tech saavy than myself how can you relieve lag while playing?

Still finding myself with lag issues...slowing down essentially...gets tricky in fights and such...

Thanks in advance

Client lag (laggy interface) or connection lag (awkward delays between actions/the UI and objects updating in-game/in chat)?

Closing background processes and turning down (or off) your shadow settings tend to help.

Get a better ISP. Worked wonders for me.

Turn down graphic settings. It may not be the connection at all.

Sorry K. Lag from NZ is a nasty reality. ESP during periods when other players log in.

Also beware peak traffic in nz and a lot of players logged into your server.

I have suffered through it for years.

Thanks RC...will turn down settings per the other recommendations here and see how I go :)

Hey actually, the nwn2 client extension that was recommended..downloaded it and seems to allow me to get through the multiplayer loading quicker..much quicker! would that help? only problem I have found is when I want to log back onto TSM it seems I have to download the 300 odd MB to play?? All the haks and such I imagine but may just play it out and see how it goes...I cancelled last time thinking it a waste of time but I guess you never know

Thanks again

This should not be happening. Contact me in chat some time & I'll see if I can get you straight.
You're not perchance logging into the Amn Beta server in between TSM logins? I don't think they're up on the latest haks yet.
