Alfa player numbers

Post by Rumple C »

Does anyone know how we are going for player numbers (regular players)? I am curious.

Would also be interested to know, if that number is rising, or falling.. or static?

I know player hours are up according to the recent graph put out.

The question was sparked by 40 (currently) votes for lead admin confidence. Just how many folk are alfans?

Infra department has access to exact numbers, but I would think we easily get 40 unique gamespy IDs logging in a month.

May, we had 85 unique players and 10 unique DMs.

Polished-up graphs shall be forthcoming should I get to appoint my new statistic-slave-intern ;).

85. wow. i would think 85 unique could support 5 (+1) servers. Neat. Time zone playing hours would be interesting to see.

Also time spent gaming distributions. I would predict a 80/20 sort of rule also applies here, where 20% of players (roughly 15 in number) account for 80% of the actual player hours.

Reposted from another thread.
Rumple C wrote:there has allready been a shift of player base with the new shiny campaign in the moonshaes, which i thought was very classily advertised.

I expect more of a shift when the next 2 servers go up.

Might be a good time to try to entice back old players to new servers and campaigns?

And advertise for new players - in the right places (say in the candlekeep forums?)

Long live alfa.
