Invisibility in ALFA?

Post by Riotnrrd »

Perusing the boards a bit, I see in at least TSM, there was in the past an issue with invisibility, called an exploit.

Is there a global ALFA policy on invisibility now? Or is it DM discretion? I don't want to 'exploit' the system due to bugs being introduced in recent patches, but my PC has always used invisibility heavily. To step away from that would detract from roleplay and making surviving as a wizard a lot harder.

The HDMs are currently discussing the option to make the rules regarding the use of invisibility the same for all servers, but there is no global policy.

Don't use it offensively to gain an advatage on an NPC, and dont use it all against a PC without a DM present or by agreeing to listen/move silently rolls

Reasoning being OE changed the way the efect works in the 1.23 patch so that a PC can never be detected at all using mundane means while an NPC can.

I'm invisible.. none of you can see me

[22:52] <Veilan> obviously something sinister must be afoot if a DM does not have his social security number in his avatar name!
