Why isnt there a Sword Coast server? Its the one place in the forgotten realms that NWN comes pre-shipped with all the areas and characters. It would be pretty easy to strip the areas from the game. It might take some work building it up to ALFA standards but it would look easier then starting from scratch to make a server.
Or maybe this isnt a uniqe idea and im just missing something?

Nobody's stopping you from doing that i think mate. Have at it!
"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." -- Richard Dawkins
Mord- I wasent trying to troll or harass anyone at alfa! please dont mistake my question for trolling. Im amazed at the effort that everyone here at alfa puts into it and all the builders and DM's are seriously amazing!
Zicadia-
Who would i talk to about that? I wouldnt mind putting in a little building time

I'm not actually sure whether we can strip the areas out and edit them...that i would love to know, just from a tech perspective.
And yes 001 is/was the designation for Neverwinter for ALFA, so we have always had it on the drawing board.
As for why it hasn't been built for NWN2, probably because no one was interested in doing so, added to the fact that buildign a module takes quite a bit. We did have it briefly as a server in NWN1, but there were ah, creative differences with it's owner.

I would say that from most builder / DMs perspective, it's more interesting to create servers of their own from canon sources, rather than just recycling areas from the same game most of us have played previously. It would be a significant undertaking to adapt OC (original campaign) areas to be compatible / compliant with ALFA's guidelines, and you'd end up with a server that looks pretty much like the campaign, minus all the plot/quests/companions. If you had a bunch of DMs who really wanted to use that area to run stories, and who didn't mind the look of the campaign areas, maybe it would be worthwhile... but lacking that, anyone can get the "experience" of hanging out on the sword coast by loading up a saved game.
Seems like we're a bit stretched thin for DMs and players already across three Live servers, so I'm not sure there is a need for a prefeb Neverwinter server.
(For what it's worth, Baldur's Gate and areas north along the coast are technically the Sword Coast as well, just Sword Coast South.)
