Hey.
For a while now i noticed that the popularity of invisibility is growing, and that it is being used very often for all kind of situations.
Few friendly RP advices :
1. Invisibility just make you unseen , not unheard or without smell.
2. Naturally, if you pass near animals like bears or wolves, they will detect your presence by smell, even if they do not know exactly where you are.
2. Being unseen does not mean you automatically pass walk silently roll, if you go unseen in full plate near people or animals with keen sense, good chance they would notice something.
3. Being unseen does not make the world blind to your actions. If you open a treasure chest infront of the monster who guard it , it would notice it and react.
4. If you know a monster or NPC has capabilities to deal with invisibility, try to get DM online before you fight it.
5. Repeated use of invisibility in populated areas might get you some unwanted attention eventually.

Guess I should take more ranks in move silently. My -18 in full plate and tower shield ain't gonna get it done. If I maxed out skill points for a few levels I could get it up to -8!

Re: Friendly advices regarding invisibility
NWN1 clerics with a lot of plate could always cast Silence on themselves for a mobile silent aura. That'd cure what ails ya Dergon!
Researching NWN2 silence, boy did they change a lot about it, from both NWN1 and from PnP... deemed hostile so you can't do yourself, and you can't do an ally for a mobile silent aura, seems either "personal" to a target, or an un-save-able aura on a spot on the ground of a big size, could make a decent sized interior a haven from spellcasters, the no save thing is just nasty/exploity seeming, oh well!
*locks wealthy cleric in a small silenced room and sticks various sneak attack fighter/rogues in it*

Why is it when ever I see a thread titled "Friendly advice" I get out the fire extinguisher?
