Alfa Books finished and on the vault

Post by bartleby »

Theyre finished and on the vault if anyone would like to try them out. The largest book contains the first act of hamlet!

yeh, play on Baldur's gate so it will be like the olden days
“In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.” - Open Message to the Executive Branch.

Well done! You should add pictures though, to do your work more justice.

More people should vote on this. Get the word out for bartleby, and perhaps draw a few wandering souls towards the alfa community. a win win.

As far as I know, these still require replacement of base game files and/or user overrides to function properly; which is a quite serious drawback for our purposes.

We have been campaigning to get the necessary files workable from inside haks for the next NWN2 patch, but it's not yet clear when the next patch will be (if at all).

If a talented coder would like to adopt the project of adapting these to work with DMFI letter replacement (using standard fonts, but scrambled text, like spoken languages), they would make a great addition to the game (with the special-font version being an awesome upgrade that could be added if/when alternative fonts start working from haks). Unfortunately, it's not a project I have enough time to adopt myself at this time.
