minor issues at PC changeover

Languages didn't seem to work

I chose TSM as native area

Am human with int 12

Took one rank speak languages


at the end of the levelling process I got a dialogue box for choosing additional langues....but there was nothing in it....blank


So I might need some DM aid to get my languages sorted out.

Rolled back Dergon and Paazin's character files so they can try again.

Please let me know if the same thing happened again, as well as:

1) which region you picked
2) which server you rebuilt on
3) whether you used "Default" region vs. picking one from the lists
4) whether you ended up with a regional background feat on your char sheet
5) whether the DMFI speak language selection box has common it in when you open a DMFI dialog box.

rebuilding on TSM now



Chose to "clear all skill assingnments and reallocate....."

this time i took the rank at first level ....and it brought up the chart for language choice inbetween level up from 1 to 2



earlier when it failed I had tried to take the skill point around lvl 4 ....then it only showed me the language chart after I had completed the levelling process entirey.


So perhaps the issue is with taking "speak language" not at level 1? (speculation)


but now as I try to go at level 2 something odd is happening where it keep kicking me back to the "choose class" screen...and then backing off the level up screen entirely and leaving me with my character sheet showing, level up is clickable but does nothing....


and now ---just jumpeed me to levelling to lvl4 without having done lvl3 ....no feat assignment etc...just wants attriubte gain at lvl 4

Just finished ...all went fine

but

to answer Qs 1 &3 ...at no time was I asked about "region"


Q2 ...rebuilt on TSM

Q4 ..... I see no regional background feat

Q5..... yes..there is a "common" language option

They masquerade as Background Traits.

I crashed halfway through the process, now the process starts me at the re-level to level two, but after I finish, I just return to the start unable to do anything, and the 2nd level has failed to take.

Suggestions?

Ok, it seems after trying again that I am re-leveling into an incorrect second class. I was a wizard, illusionist specialist with a cat before...

and it's what I am trying to use now ..

any thoughts

I think there are some restrictions on multiclassing paladins, which may be what it's referring to...

You can always multiclass away from paladin. The question is, whether you are allowed to continue to level as a paladin after - so I don't think that's the explanation here.
