So no outcry from me - if the effort is not in relation to the actual demand, then letting something go simply is the natural thing to do.

Thanks for your considerate approach to this, and all the time you were at your player's service.
Same boat here, though i am aussie, which still requires a DM for most everything.

Just ensure there is a proper announcement if NWN1 is officially closed, my character is not yet officially retired, so that would be a bit of finality.

"They say I'm rich in my gold and I don't have anything else. They are wrong. I'm rich in my family, in the deeds I've done, and in my love and service to Sembia. In gold, I'm filthy rich." - attributed to Jacobim Foxmantle.

I had a ball in ALFA's NWN1 project. I'll resist exploring all the "what went wrong?" stuff about ALFA's steady NWN1 decline in this thread, since hey, many of us who enjoyed NWN1 still have our outlets, including if we wish, with the PCs minted in ALFA, the DMs (or former DMs) of ALFA, the modules we built in ALFA, or with newer modules that skills refined in ALFA permit us to build.

Anyhow, Vald's main questions I think involved a "last call" for if anyone either felt like they'd be returning and in need of a typical 24/7 PW type Sembia experience, or if not, at least an invite to discuss low-key scheduled events which could be easily run outside ALFA among friends. I've enjoyed a great run, campaign style for a couple of years, mostly with Valdimir and Electryc (earliest days of the PC, lots of credit to El Zed and Misty though!), I have no doubt that if the bug bit some mix of current campaigners and patrons, we could find each other again and determine how to scratch the itch.

Well, if anyone wants to put together an eclectic group of folks for an NWN1 campaign night or something, I would be interested. Ciao.

I would definitely make time to play on Sembia or any NWN1 server with my character Aerthen, but there was little to no interest by DMs on Sembia after E left. If something else is developed and there is an interest in my character then I'd be happy to play.

I'm kind of in the same boat as Mikayla.
No one to play with since E, Misty, and Nyar decided to stop DMing and my character is someone that could cause issues with others, especially the goodly aligned PCs.

Whatever is decided I had some great times without a lot of great people.

I suppose I should add my words in here, having DM´d for almost 2½ years on Sembia and after the venerable E left, having "served" as EADM for some time.

For me, alfa nwn1 was first a discovery in 05. I found a Community and bloody great game in TLR. Played there, DM´d there.

Then it became an experience. So many sleepless nighs ic.

I played on Sembia, Luskan etc. Started to DM on Sembia.

Sembia was my best love and the track record should prove that.
I love the server and I love my players.

However, I have entered the stage when it has become a duty.

I would love to continue the campaign in some form for all you dedicated persons, but the truth is: I cant. Not right now. I´m placing the priority for my writing and trying to get published.
