HEEGZ: DMA Platform Question?

Post by Rotku »

We can't go an election without one of these threads. It'll be a terrible break in tradition.

So with ALFA's best interests at heart:

HEEGZ, do you realise that there is a minimum of a 1000 word platform required to take any post in ALFA? As yours only contains 210 words - with the penalty of 1 vote per every 50 words under - you will be starting with a 16 vote penalty.

Attracting and retaining good DMs is a perennial issue for ALFA. What sort of program do you propose to help mitigate this?

Pogrom, not programme.

ALFA has had plenty of excellent DMs in it's past. Some have been lost to their Real Life™ while many have been lost due to politicking. I hope to minimize the drama through dialog and fair treatment, all while supporting our existing DMs. It is my belief that with time, we will have some of our older DMs return to us as word-of-mouth spreads to them that ALFA is a better place to spend their time these days. While it will be impossible to avoid drama in the future, maintaining open lines of communication and using tact should help prevent the attrition of DMs due to politics. I am also planning to revise the existing DM documentation to further help our DMs. As well, I am running a DM101 session for the two new BG DMs tomorrow, and could continue to do this in the future as needed. If you are wondering about attracting new DMs, I have helped recruit a couple of DMs for the BG server in the past few months and I hope that this will continue to be a trend for the future.

Do you plan on changing your avatar anytime soon? I prefer something of a more dorfy alignment!

Are you willing to train a possible future dm for TWH in a dm 101 (granted, it might just be a refresher)?

Not likely. This avatar is the first animated .gif that I ever made, and it took so long to do that I don't think I could stomach replacing it. I'm not saying it won't happen, it's just unlikely to happen soon.

Yeah. I'm doing a DM101 in an hour or so. I can probably do a DM101 on any given Saturday, as this is my free day where I have time to game, build, or do things that need to get done. Which reminds me I need to mow the grass today.

Considering you already changed your avatar, is it fair to assume you are a flip-flopping liberal pinko?
